MONTREAL — Stormy Daniels will receive a lifetime achievement award during the upcoming Pornhub Awards.
Pornhub said Daniels will be recognized “for her many contributions, which have helped shape the face of the adult industry as well as American history.”
The announcement was made through the Pornhub Twitter account and an interview with Daniels with Page Six, the gossip section of the Rupert Murdoch-owned mainstream tabloid the New York Post.
The fifth annual Pornhub Awards will take place Thursday, April 20.
The show will celebrate “the biggest and best” in each of Pornhub’s unconventional categories, as well as the top channels and most popular networks.
Daniels told the New York Post that the award also honors her sex worker and adult industry advocacy.
“I’m very much involved in advocating for the adult industry, and for sex worker rights and sex positivity,” she said, adding she is also “working to change laws that were discriminatory to performers and sex workers. I have worked to promote and protect those of us in the industry.
This year’s Pornhub Awards nominees have been announced on the official event website, where visitors can vote for their favorites in fan-voted categories until April 10, and where the winners will be unveiled on April 20 at 8 a.m. (PDT).
Daniels will be receiving the award in person at the Pornhub Awards party in Los Angeles on Thursday evening.
Diplo has been announced as the main musical act for the event, which will also feature DJ sets by The Ion Pack, Hank K and TOTALFREEDOM.
