OEJ Novelty Debuts Product Demo Videos on YouTube

LOS ANGELES — OEJ Novelty (Our Erotic Journey) has released a series of product demo videos on its official YouTube channel.

The series comprises “up-close-and-personal product staging of its most exciting new pleasure and wellness devices,” noted a rep, such as the OEJ to Space Collection’s Solar Ring, Cosmo Critter, Eclipse Bunny and Gravity Rocket, including a sneak preview of each item, a description of its functionality, general information and warranty information.

“With today’s retail landscape constantly changing and evolving, we wanted to get as much information as possible to the consumer about our products,” a rep said. “The consumer now has so many choices when it comes to their sexual wellness needs that as a manufacturer, you have to figure out ways to reach target audiences.”

Additionally, customers can also scan the items’ QR codes with their mobile devices, and access to all pertinent information about the product.

“The mobile link takes prospective buyers to an easy-to-use menu where they can choose from a demo video that includes a full description of the toy and its specifications, or access the brand’s five-year warranty information,” noted the rep.

“This useful consumer tool also benefits OEJ’s participating retailers, as no one could expect that store employees would know everything about each individual product they carry,” the rep added. “Now with just a swipe of a finger, they can answer a potential customer’s questions, even if they are a new employee or have not received a full training on a particular product. The more information that is easily available and on hand, the better.”

The feature is currently available for the company’s OEJ to Space collection will be incorporated into all products moving forward, as well as existing items.

Tempted.com Rolls Out Free Chat in Public Mode

Tempted.com Rolls Out Free Chat in Public Mode

TORONTO — Cam platform Tempted.com has rolled out a new feature that lets followers meet their favorite creators, or “Temptations,” before subscribing and becoming fans.

Creators have already had the option of using “Public mode” and doing SFW shows for free to attract more subscribers. Now, both fans (aka subscribers) and non-fans can talk to creators, and vice-versa, for free in Public Mode.

“This gives them a chance to meet their favorite Temptation, see if she regularly updates her content, does live shows and is active on the Tempted platform,” said a rep.

According to the company, “anyone can access Public mode, but if they want to talk to a Temptation when broadcasting in Public mode, and they’re not subscribed yet, they’ll receive an alert message when Temptations send them out. During the free live show in Public mode, the Temptation will let her fans know what will happen in her private show, or she’ll introduce herself, if she is a new Temptation, or she’ll let the followers know that she’ll be broadcasting some minutes before switching to Private mode. In both cases, the follower will need to subscribe to continue.

“She might even get topless, but free shows are mostly SFW,” the rep added.

Tempted.com spokesperson Eve described the new feature as “a great sales tool for Temptations because it allows them to introduce themselves and start a real conversation with their followers. The followers like it because they get just a taste of their favorite Temptation, and it leaves them wanting more and subscribing. This try-before-you-buy sales model will really boost subscriptions and give the fans peace of mind that they made the right choice.”

Will Ryder Wraps Sci-Fi Thriller ‘Artificial Heart’ for Adam & Eve

Will Ryder Wraps Sci-Fi Thriller 'Artificial Heart' for Adam & Eve

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Will Ryder has wrapped principal production on his sci-fi thriller “Artificial Heart” for Adam & Eve Pictures.

The feature stars Kira Noir, playing an AI robot named Dana, alongside Tyler Cruise and Maria Kazi as innocent young couple Michael and Mandy.

Kiara Cole, Pristine Edge, Zerella Skies, Athena Anderson, Mazy Myers, Brad Newman, Rob Carpenter, Rusty Nails and Frank Bukkwyd round out the cast.

“The script originally read like a quaint Doris Day/Rock Hudson romantic comedy, but that was before Will locked himself in a dark room and binged on Hitchcock and Blumhouse scary movies,” said a rep.

“Well, it’s not exactly a Doris Day romcom anymore,” Ryder quipped.

Soon to marry his college sweetheart, Michael is offered a company cash bonus to beta-test a new “home helper” AI device. The naive software engineer-in-training figures he has nothing to lose, and could use the extra money. But the helpful robot swiftly turns into a nightmare as Michael and Mandy become desperate to figure out a way to stop the out-of-control robot that has “fallen in love” with him — and into a deep hatred for her.

“We absolutely loved the story when we first read it,” noted Adam & Eve Pictures’ head of production Rachel V.

“Even with this being a thriller featuring artificial intelligence, there is still a very human element at the core, which makes this a beautiful love story, I think,” she said.

“A love story with blood, knives and sheer terror,” added Ryder, who called the project “a fantastic collaboration with my buddies Deanzy and Frank Bukkwyd.”

“Artificial Heart” will be released later this year by Adam & Eve Pictures.

WSC Spotlights Kimberly Wilson of ‘Passions in Columbia’ as Latest ‘Retail Superstar’

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Sensual Care (WSC) has crowned Kimberly Wilson of Columbia, Missouri’s Passions In Columbia brick-and-mortar superstore as its newest “Retail Superstar” honoree.

Each month, a new “superstar” in the pleasure products space is interviewed for the WSC newsletter. “Kimberly’s profile reveals an accomplished self-starter whose decision to enter adult retail was motivated by a desire to move beyond the confines of a job with a conventional corporation,” a rep said.

“Passions in Columbia is known throughout the mid-Missouri region for being a high-end superstore,” continued the rep. “The boutique is spotless, well-organized and staffed by some of the most helpful and knowledgeable employees to be found in the industry.”

Wilson noted she “made a life choice to leave traditional corporate America.”

“I had little to no idea of what to do next,” she recalled. “Then my daughter came across a listing for Passions in Columbia.”

She recently shared an inspiring encounter with WSC brand strategist and resident sex educator Jessica Drake.

“I had a wonderful experience meeting Kimberly,” said Drake. “I was immediately in awe of the wealth of knowledge and experience that makes her such an incredible resource; not just for customers, but for her fellow employees.”

Wilson enjoys making her customers “feel welcome and relaxed.”

“My favorite part of my job is opening people’s eyes to new things, and allowing everyone to feel safe and secure while we share our experiences with one another,” she said. “I love to gab, and I place a premium on making people feel comfortable in what can sometimes be an awkward situation.”

WSC Sales Director Jennifer Brice praised Wilson’s facility with one-on-one interactions.

“It isn’t just an outgoing personality that makes for a great retail employee, but specifically one with an aptitude for talking to strangers with warmth, a positive attitude and great energy,” Brice said. “Everything else can be taught, but without that engaging persona the job of talking to people, particularly about sex and intimacy, can become difficult. Fortunately, this is where Kimberly shines.”

A potential “retail superstar” may be nominated by sending their name, store name, location/city, store social media handles and a brief paragraph — a photograph is optional — about why they deserve to be a superstar to team@wickedsensualcare.com. Superstars may also self-nominate.

Sen. Ron Wyden, Author of Section 230, Vows to ‘Fight Like Hell’ to Protect It

Sen. Ron Wyden, Author of Section 230, Vows to 'Fight Like Hell' to Protect It

WASHINGTON — In response to a Wired article published today warning that Section 230 is a “last line of defense for abortion speech online,” the law’s co-writer Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) vowed to “keep fighting like hell” to protect it.

Repeating the headline of the Wired piece, which emphasizes the centrality of Section 230 as “the First Amendment of the internet” and a bulwark against attacks on free speech, Wyden tweeted that “Section 230 is the last line of defense keeping abortion information online and accessible in the post-Roe world.

“I will keep fighting like hell to protect this law that I authored so women have access to the health care information they need,” Wyden added.

The Wired article shared by Wyden was co-written by Evan Greer and Lia Holland of nonprofit advocacy group Fight for the Future.

Greer and Holland point out that a large number of Wyden’s fellow Democrats — among them some of the most powerful, including the President and the Vice President — who have been “misguidedly attacking” Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act need to “wake up now.”

If they “don’t start listening to the warnings of human rights experts, sex workers, LGBTQ+ folks and reproductive rights groups,” Greer and Holland wrote, “Democrats could help right-wing zealots achieve their goal: mass censorship of online content about abortion.”

Section 230, the authors opine, is “the last line of defense keeping reproductive health care support, information and fundraising online. Under Section 230, internet platforms that host and moderate user-generated content cannot generally be sued for that content. Section 230 is not absolute. It does not provide immunity if the platform develops or creates the content, and it does not provide immunity from the enforcement of federal criminal laws. But, crucially, it does protect against criminal liability from state laws.”

Section 230 is universally considered by digital rights advocates as a crucial bulwark against state and corporate censorship of controversial speech, including sexual expression and legal adult content.
