NAPA, Calif. — A retail display contest to mark Magic Wand Day, hosted by Vibratex, the exclusive North American distributor of the Magic Wand brand, concludes Friday.

Vibratex is giving away cash and products to the winners of the contest.

“Further recognizing countless friends and fans who have shown their love with ink, this year’s display contest theme is ‘Magic Wand Tattoos.’ Vibratex has even printed temporary tattoos, designed by prominent artist Gentle Jaz, to apply and give to customers,” noted a rep.

Vibratex will announce the winners on June 2; the first-place prize includes 24 Magic Wands (six of each SKU) for resale and $1,000 to be shared among store staff.

BROOMFIELD, Colo. — Eldorado has hired Corrigan Conroy as sales account manager, who will report directly to Director of Sales and Marketing Derek DalPiaz.

A rep noted Conroy is an Indiana native who graduated from Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado, with a BA in Business Administration and a focus on marketing and tourism. Conroy previously worked in sales and management roles in the mortgage, banking and garment industries.

“We’re pleased to welcome Corrigan to the Eldorado family,” DalPiaz said. “Though new to the industry, his previous sales experience and drive to help retail stores grow are a great combination and addition to our team.”

PITTSBURGH — Jessie Sage And Dr. PJ Patella-Rey, hosts of the recently concluded “Peepshow Podcast,” have launched a spinoff podcast, “Sex Industry Book Club.”

The new podcast focuses on writing done about the sex industry by sex workers, sex professionals and sex enthusiasts and is the first devoted exclusively to books, noted a rep. Like traditional book clubs, “Sex Industry Book Club” will read one book per month, while Sage and Patella-Rey talk to authors and other industry professionals about the books.

Listeners are encouraged to be active participants by submitting audio or written questions for guests to discuss.

The first episode aired last weekend and centered on Dr. Heather Berg, author of “Porn Work: Sex Labor and Late Capitalism.”

“Given the current climate of rampant sexual repression, I think it’s crucial that we build broad political coalitions and that our show can contribute to this necessary work,” Patella-Rey said.

Sage noted they have covered the sex industry from a wide variety of angles over the years via their company, Peepshow Media.

“I’m ready to narrow our focus by highlighting books by and about the industry,” Sage said. “As a writer myself, in the process of writing my first book, I can’t wait for the opportunity to highlight the phenomenal writing and storytelling that comes out of our community.”

“Sex Industry Book Club” has partnered with Assembly Four, who will be posting show transcripts on its official blog.

LOS ANGELES — Hardcore fetish performer and content creator HungerFF will roll out “Re-quel Week,” a four-part series that pays homage to some of his most infamous viral clips, beginning June 16.

“As my site gets ready to turn one year old in July, I’ve spent a lot of time recently reflecting back on my career in this business.” HungerFF said. “I’ve had all these insane, crazy moments and [clips] that have gone mega-viral, including most recently the ‘Dumpling Video,’ which blew up and trended on Twitter. I wanted to do something to sort of celebrate those moments and also show how I’ve grown as a content creator over the last five years.”

Larry Shockey, owner of Atlanta’s Fist Fest, recalled how a clip filmed at the 2018 event raised its international profile.

“I’ll never forget the day HungerFF hopped on the back of that truck in the parking lot at our event and took an arm, deep-fisting in front of a crowd of onlookers,” he said. “Fist Fest was never the same after that. The attention that [clip] brought to the event was remarkable.”

He noted two additional weekends were added the following year to accommodate demand.

“Re-quel Week” in June recreates that clip with frequent collaborator RaunchyWolf1 and newcomer Wrecked It Ralph. In addition, HungerFF has reteamed with PumperMike67 and TimmyPH to film a follow-up to another popular clip, “Clash of The Titans.”

The series will be released on HungerFF.com June 16 and 19; the original clips are still available.
