Adam & Eve Reveals Results of ‘Sex Dream’ Survey

Adam & Eve Reveals Results of 'Sex Dream' Survey

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve has released the results of a survey asking respondents if they have ever had a sex dream.

Among the respondents, 81% (85% of males and 78% of females) admit they have had sex dreams.

“Sex dreams are 100% normal,” said Adam & Eve’s resident sexologist, Dr. Jenni Skyler. “Their frequency may vary depending upon age or relationship status, but studies show that a significant portion of overall dreams involve sexual themes. Some research suggests that sexual dreams might reflect a person’s sexuality, desires, or unresolved issues. Common sex dreams involve familiar sex, sexual fantasies, dreams of a past love, or taboo sex.

“For most people, sex dreams are a fun break from reality,” Skyler added. “If someone is distressed about their dreams or suffers from erotic nightmares, a medical professional can help with understanding and managing these symptoms.”

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third-party survey company of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.

FSC: Arizona Governor Signs Controversial Age Verification Law

PHOENIX — Free Speech Coalition has released a statement regarding Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs signing the state’s age verification bill into law.

HB2112, Arizona’s controversial age-verification law, was signed into law by Governor Katie Hobbs this afternoon, despite formidable opposition from Free Speech Coalition, civil liberties groups and Arizona voters. The law will go into effect ninety days after the legislature adjourns.

Free Speech Coalition led the fight against the bill since it was introduced in January, testifying against it repeatedly in committee, meeting with Republican and Democratic legislators in Arizona, and building a broad-based coalition that included the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Woodhull Foundation, Fight for the Future and dozens of reproductive rights and LGBTQ groups.

FSC was instrumental in securing a veto of a similar bill during Arizona’s last legislative session, HB2586, as well as stopping a mirror bill, SB1341, in committee this session.

Free Speech Coalition Director of Public Policy Mike Stabile was a constant figure in Phoenix this year, securing near-universal Democratic opposition to the bill despite heavy political headwinds in the state. Over the course of several months, Stabile worked to educate legislators, allies and the Governor’s office itself about the dangers of the bill, eventually stripping away nearly all of the bill’s initial bipartisan support.

Following the legislature’s passage of the law, hundreds of Arizonans flooded the Governor’s office with emails and phone calls demanding a veto.

“We are certainly disappointed that the Governor signed HB2112,” says Stabile. “But we will continue to fight for the rights of Arizonans to access the internet without fear of censorship or surveillance. We are well aware that the optics of voting against these bills is difficult for policymakers, especially in conservative states, and were proud to see so many legislators not only vote against the bill, but bravely stand up and defend the rights of their constituents. We built a powerful coalition in Arizona, and will continue to fight against censorship there and elsewhere.”

“Free Speech Coalition has been instrumental in blocking similar bills in Colorado and New Mexico this year, and is actively involved in fighting legislation in more than a dozen other states.”

Sheena Ryder Talks About Going AWOL in New Interview With eBaum's World

LAS VEGAS — Sheena Ryder recently sat down for a new interview with eBaum’s World writer Serena Tara.

In the interview, Ryder talks about her time in the military before she entered the adult entertainment industry and shares the story of when she received an Article 15 — a punishment for a soldier without officially charging them for their offense — for being AWOL.

“I was in the National Guard, and I didn’t make it to one of my weekend drills,” Ryder told eBaum’s World. “I informed them that going to those drills was actually costing me money and that I had a regular job that paid more. I was working in a doctor’s office at the time, which is why I missed that weekend drill. I told them it was more of a hardship for me to continue, so I finagled some paperwork and was able to get out with an honorable discharge.”

NCOSE Sues 4 Adult Websites Under Kansas Age Verification Law

TOPEKA, Kan. — The National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE), a conservative anti-pornography organization, has sued four adult websites in Kansas under the state’s age verification law.

The lawsuit, brought on behalf of a 14-year-old Kansas resident and her mother, targets Chaturbate.com, Jerkmate.com, Superporn.com and Titan Websites. The suit alleges that the teen, identified as “Q.R.,” accessed content on all four sites without her age being verified.

“Kansas law requires pornography companies to implement reasonable age verification methods, and the companies named in these lawsuits failed to do so,” said Dani Pinter, NCOSE senior vice president and director of the organization’s law center.

Pinter went on to claim, “It is unreasonably dangerous for these pornography websites to provide this product which they know is harmful to children, that children are drawn to access, and do access, without employing age verification as required by Kansas law.”

As XBIZ has reported, NCOSE, which represents itself as an anti-trafficking organization, is largely an anti-porn lobbying group with roots in the religious conservative movement.

Adult industry attorney and First Amendment expert Corey D. Silverstein noted that the lawsuit will likely face constitutional challenges.

“The defenses that I’m sure these websites will aggressively pursue will surely include the constitutionality of Kansas’ AV law itself,” Silverstein said.

He also pointed out that, with the Texas age verification case still pending in front of the United States Supreme Court, the lawsuit is jumping the gun.

“While the allegations sound bad, they are all unproven and the defendants will have their opportunity to tell their side of the story in court,” Silverstein said. “Kansas didn’t bother waiting to hear what the U.S. Supreme Court has to say about the age verification laws in its upcoming opinion on the Texas AV law, which is expected to be released within the next 60 days.”

Kansas’ age verification law, which requires that adult sites meet “reasonable” age verification standards, sets penalties of up to $10,000 per violation, per day.
