XBIZ Miami 2024 Website Launches, Highlights Revealed

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce preliminary details for XBIZ Miami, set for May 13-16 at the oceanfront Sagamore Hotel in South Beach.

Presented by premier webcam community Chaturbate, XBIZ Miami will once again serve up its popular mix of professional development, networking and boisterous poolside fun. Attendees can learn about the hottest trends in content creation, monetization, online marketing and everything else they might need to stay ahead of the game, thanks to timely panel sessions and workshops.

Meanwhile, plenty of fun networking activities make it easy for attendees to reconnect with industry peers, make new contacts and explore collaborative opportunities. Naturally, this year’s edition of XBIZ Miami also carries on the summer tradition of exclusive special events, culminating with the 2024 XBIZ Creator Awards, adult creators’ biggest night.

Monday, May 13 is “arrivals day,” when XBIZ Miami attendees check into the hotel and get an early start by picking up their all-access badges. That afternoon, Women in Adult hosts a relaxing beach event, where models and execs are invited to mix and mingle on the sand. Finally, attendees can raise a glass in a welcome toast at the XBIZ.net Kick-Off Happy Hour, before capping off the evening with XBIZ Miami’s perennially popular White Party.

Tuesday, May 14, the first full day of the conference, attendees can ride the previous evening’s wave of good vibes right into a Speed Networking session, making fresh connections amid the tropical breeze poolside. Afterward, things get going with “XBIZ Miami Boot Camp,” a creator welcome reception and orientation.

The same idyllic environment will be the scene for XBIZ Miami’s Company Bungalow hotel suites, which offer everything from impromptu meetups with company reps to product demos and photo shoots. Meanwhile, company-sponsored Poolside Cabanas provide yet another fun way to network while getting to know both established and up-and-coming players.

The seminar program gets underway Tuesday afternoon, with panels updating attendees on the latest trends in adult’s major market segments. Creator workshop sessions will focus on topics ranging from content creation, branding and marketing to the latest platform updates, leveraging collaborations and referrals, and new ways to boost revenue. Company workshops will feature a wide range of brands showcasing their services and expertise, from mega platform providers to specialized outfits servicing the intricacies of the industry.

Then it’s on to a trio of wet and wild diversions: a special afternoon pool party event, followed by XBIZ Miami’s wildly popular, super-sexy all-gender Swimsuit Contest ??— and capped off by Neon Night Swim, a neon-themed pool party that premiered at last year’s show and promises to light up the night once again.

Wednesday, May 15, the second full day of the conference, features another round of speed networking, informative discussion panels, and creator and company workshops. Plus, the poolside schmoozefest continues with another day of meetings and meetups at the Company Bungalows and Poolside Cabanas.

After the educational sessions and meetups, it’s time for the Mix & Meet Happy Hour, offering quality meet-and-greet time for creators, webmasters and service providers to explore business in a high-energy setting, and get a look at the latest products and services that can improve productivity and boost business.

Finally, Wednesday night marks the adult creator community’s biggest night: the 2024 XBIZ Creator Awards. This climactic finale to XBIZ Miami honors adult’s most dazzling personalities and vibrant artists, capped off by a high-energy after-party. It’s the best possible farewell blowout for another memorable XBIZ Miami.

Free registration is available for creators, affiliates and producers, while XBIZ.net members qualify for discounted admission.

WishTender Dropped by Stripe, Transitioning to New Payment Processor

SAN FRANCISCO — Creator-focused wishlist solution WishTender announced Tuesday that it had been dropped by mainstream payment processor Stripe over policy issues, and was in the process of transitioning to a different financial partner.

Through a post on its X account, WishTender added that it is collaborating with its new partner “to continue building the best wishlist platform for creators.”

“We will continue to update you on the action items that you will need to take as we transition,” the company added.

WishTender urged creators with outstanding payments to review a calendar for the transition and to contact the company with any questions.

For U.S. accounts, gift payments into U.S.-based WishTender Stripe Connect accounts will be paused on Feb. 15. All U.S. payouts to U.S. bank accounts will continue as usual, but the company “strongly recommends” ensuring balances are paid out as soon as possible and no later than March 15.

For non-U.S. accounts, gift payments will be paused on Friday, and payouts will cease on Feb. 20. Creators need to ensure their balance is paid out by Feb. 19. WishTender also noted extra precautions for non-U.S. accounts.

“We’ve been working through this sudden and surprising change around the clock,” the post explained. “It’s been a challenge, but we are facing this head-on. We know how important it is for users to collect payments, and we’re implementing our new solution as fast as possible so users can experience minimal interruption. We apologize to those who may experience payment interruptions during this transition.

“We are so grateful to have the chance to continue building for the community,” the company added. “We have exciting plans on our roadmap that we will be better equipped to accomplish with partners better aligned with our model. We understand this sudden change may be disconcerting, and we welcome your feedback and concerns. With your support, we will evolve the platform far beyond what it is today with our new financial partners, providing you with a more resilient and stable platform.”

Global payment processor Stripe has been criticized by adult creators and sex workers for its discriminatory policies.

Free Speech Coalition Director of Public Affairs Mike Stabile told tech news site 404 in September that Stripe has historically been “one of the most aggressive censors of consensual adult content in the digital payment space.”

Stabile noted an FSC report from early 2023 indicating that nearly a quarter of adult workers and businesses reported a ban from Stripe.

“Even that underrepresents how aggressive they are, given that most sex workers avoid it in the first place,” Stabile added.

ERIKALUST Releases Animation/Live Action Hybrid Short ‘Sex Toy Story’

ERIKALUST Releases Animation/Live Action Hybrid Short 'Sex Toy Story'

BARCELONA — ERIKALUST has debuted “Sex Toy Story,” a stop-motion/live action animated short directed by the company’s namesake filmmaker.

A rep described “Sex Toy Story” as “an exceptional film combining animation and raw desire to deliver an unparalleled viewing experience to make adult cinematic history. The 21-minute movie combines the captivating worlds of stop-motion and pornography, offering audiences an unprecedented visual and storytelling experience.”

The short is narrated in the first person by a sex toy, “providing a unique perspective on pleasure and desire,” the rep added.

“Sex Toy Story” follows the journey of Bootie Fem, a young butt plug that finds itself abandoned in a bedside drawer when its mistress discovers a new lover. As it reminisces about their past explorations and longs for her attention, Bootie Fem discovers that love has a way of finding its way back.

The short co-stars Leo Vice and Zaawaadi, and features voice acting by Krista Unverferth, Jess M and Aria Vega. The stop-motion animation was created by Aline Romero, who manipulated three clay-made toys through a 24-frames-per-second process to create the perception of movement and interaction between the characters.

“I started to think about the idea of this film during the pandemic when it was challenging to shoot real-life films, and we had to come up with new concepts,” said Lust. “I watched ‘Toy Story’ and couldn’t stop thinking about what an adult film would look like from a sex toy’s perspective.”

Because animation is not only expensive but takes considerable skills, effort and time, Lust explained, she “had to find the right partner to make it work and the right script to create a story that felt exciting, sexy, and fun at the same time. This film is a team effort, from the script, art, lighting, acting, voice-overs, editing and sound design to the animation. Our incredible cast and crew have done an outstanding job to make this film one of a kind.”
