MONTREAL — Adult Time studio Up Close is featuring Emma Magnolia in a pair of unscripted releases that spotlight her sexuality and sexual experiences.

First, in an episode of Bree Mills’ series “How Women Orgasm,” Magnolia candidly shares her journey and insights into female pleasure in a sit-down interview, before enjoying a self-pleasure session for the cameras. 

“I’ve been wanting to talk to Emma for a while now,” said Adult Time Chief Creative Officer Mills. “Not only is she beautiful inside and out, but she’s lived a fascinating life and her approach to sexuality is one that I really think can positively influence others.”

Also debuting is Magnolia’s first unscripted sex scene for the Up Close brand, co-starring Robby Echo.  Directed by Anatomik Media, the episode features the duo’s first sexual experience together, during which Magnolia’s occasional eye contact with the camera “invites the viewer to feel part of her experience,” a rep noted.

Up Close, the rep explained, aims to “usher in a new era of female-focused gonzo content and offer visually striking and ethically created experiences through its three primary series — ‘Up Close,’ ‘How Women Orgasm’ and the upcoming ‘Get Up Close’ podcast.”

In addition to the recurring series, the studio will also be debuting Bree Mills’ documentary projects and other special releases that explore different facets of female pleasure.

Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren Signs on as KOSA Co-Sponsor

WASHINGTON — Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren (D) has signed up as co-sponsor of the controversial Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA), a bill to limit online free speech which has been endorsed by homophobic religious conservative groups.

As reported by Evan Greer — director of digital rights group Fight the Future — in a Motherboard article Friday, Sen. Warren is now advocating for passage of the bill. Greer, who is transgender, noted that right-wing senator Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) was recently caught on camera saying the goal of KOSA is to “protect minor children from the transgender in this culture.”

“That’s not that surprising,” Greer wrote. “Senator Blackburn is one of the most anti-LGBTQ members of the Senate, and has said many terrible and offensive things about transgender people. What is surprising, is that Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, long seen as an LGBTQ ally, apparently wants to help Blackburn advance her legislative attack on our community.”

As XBIZ reported, KOSA has had bipartisan support, with Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) helping Blackburn selling it to their colleagues as a “protect the children” measure. 2023 marks the second time the bills have gone through this process; the first attempt to pass them was in 2022.

In a scathing March 2022 editorial, Jason Kelley of leading digital rights organization Electronic Frontier Foundation argued that behind its kid-friendly name and supposed mission, KOSA hides “a plan to require surveillance and censorship of anyone 16 and under.”

The bill, Kelley noted, would actually “greatly endanger the rights, and safety, of young people online” while also chilling controversial speech — including sexual expression — across the internet.

In July, President Joe Biden urged lawmakers to take action regarding online speech that he considers harmful to children. Politico’s Rebecca Kern described Biden repetitively “chanting” the words “Pass it” after referencing KOSA and COPPA during a public appearance about expanding access to mental health care.

Despite objections of several free speech, digital rights and LGBTQ advocates, and of key Senate members with expertise in online regulations like Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Oregon), Sen. Warren “has decided to sign on as a cosponsor of KOSA,” Greer writes. “Worse, she has done so without securing a single change to the bill. Human rights and civil liberties groups are trying to hold the line to demand meaningful changes to protect LGBTQ and other marginalized groups that are being attacked in states, Senator Warren is breaking that line to help pass a deeply flawed bill.”

LAS VEGAS — Free Speech Coalition (FSC) Executive Director Alison Boden attended the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering (ACAMS) conference in Vegas earlier this week.

FSC Executive Director Alison Boden may be one step closer to unraveling issues of financial discrimination that face adult businesses and workers.

At the annual conference for ACAMS — the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists — Boden spoke with bank officers, anti-trafficking NGOs, and government officials about the need to secure financial access for those in the sex industry. To her surprise, many agreed.

“While some in the banking industry no doubt have moral objections to our industry, most were aware that existing detection systems for money laundering and sex trafficking unfairly target legal businesses and consensual sex workers,” says Boden. “But no one on their side has made it a priority, so it’s incumbent on us to make it one. It’s unfair, but if we’re going to stop discrimination, we have to take the lead. We have to be part of these discussions. There’s a willingness to change and we have the opportunity to collaborate on the solution.”

At panels, keynotes and in private conversations, participants acknowledged the need to separate sex work from sex trafficking. In response to a question from Boden, newly-appointed FinCEN Director Andrea Gacki said that she will prioritize protecting vulnerable populations from de-banking — now a public statement on the record.“This was an incredibly productive conference, and we need to be at more of these,” says Boden. “Not just attending the event, but on panels, speaking and presenting information and research that will drive change. Over and over again, I had organizations approach me to offer assistance, or ask us for data, or to otherwise understand what was happening. We need to be in the room to combat the stereotypes, misinformation and stigma. We have a long road ahead, but I’m confident that with work, we can reduce the financial discrimination and instability that plagues adult businesses.”

Lee Network stars will be in attendance include Kagney Lynn Karte, Alexa Payne, Onyx Muse, Bree Brooks, Scarlett Sommers, Mandy Waters and Vivianne DeSilva.

The Star Caravan events for the 31st annual NightMoves will take place Thursday to Sunday, and end at the NightMoves Awards Show on Sunday.

The first event will take place at The Red Room on Thursday, at 10 p.m. (EDT).

On Friday, the Lee Network Caravan will perform at 4 Play Gentlemen’s Lounge, at 10 p.m. (EDT).

Saturday, the caravan will perform at Chica’s Gentlemen’s Club, from noon-6 p.m. (EDT) and then at 2001 Odyssey, at 11 p.m.

Finally, on Sunday, the troupe will perform at The NightMoves Awards Show at TNA Gentlemen’s Club, where the red carpet event starts at 6:30 p.m. (EDT).

Alexa Payne, who launched her feature dance career this year with The Lee Network and is profiled in the October issue of NightMoves Magazine enthused about the caravan.
