Swiss Navy Now Shipping Gallon-Size Toy, Body Cleaner

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — M.D. Science Lab, makers of the Swiss Navy brand, is now shipping its Toy and Body Cleaner in a one-gallon size.

The product was recently introduced at the Altitude Intimates trade show. “Retail buyers reported this generous size to be ideal for making sure tester products in their stores are kept in clean, tip-top condition,” noted a rep.

M.D. Science VP of Sales and Marketing Briana Watkins said the company had received customer feedback that the Swiss Navy Toy and Body Cleaner is “a must, with so many consumers looking to handle products prior to purchasing them.”

“We always listen to feedback and make sure to create our new products around buyers’ needs. This is one way to ensure our new products quickly become bestsellers,” she added.

Created to be delicate and effective on intimate skin and pleasure products, the rep explained, Swiss Navy’s Toy and Body Cleaner formula is dermatologically-tested and includes tea tree oil and lavender oil. Research has found tea tree oil to be a topical antiseptic and can serve as an antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral treatment, while lavender oil provides an arousing scent and has been found to have antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.

“According to Deloitte Business Consulting, 84% of consumers rank personal cleanliness as very important, and retailers continue to keep consumer health in mind,” added the rep.

M.D. Science is also working on “additional new items for the upcoming trade shows,” Watkins said.

“Of course, I’ll be at the XBIZ Miami Show next month and am looking forward to introducing our newest products to buyers there,” she noted. “I’m hearing a lot of positive feedback on the economic benefits of this one-gallon size and can’t wait to hear what buyers in Miami have to say.”

AgeChecked Is Newest ASACP Corporate Sponsor

LOS ANGELES — AgeChecked is the newest ASACP corporate sponsor.

A company rep explained that ASACP’s sponsors and members are among the industry’s most respected companies and serve as “excellent examples of how corporate responsibility, ethical operation, and basic proactive measures help protect minors and other online viewers from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials.”

An online age verification solution that covers a range of sectors that distribute age-restricted goods and services, AgeChecked’s focus in the media sector is on providing seamless and light-touch verifications that do not impede the customer journey.

The primary goals of AgeChecked and ASACP are “strongly aligned, as both organizations work to promote child protection online,” stated AgeChecked CEO Alastair Graham.

ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning explained AgeChecked is “a valued partner in helping to ensure that only actual adults can access age-restricted materials.”

“The necessity of online age verification is on the radar of many website owners and app publishers in the face of evolving legislation, especially those who provide age-restricted content. AgeChecked provides the premier solution to this problem, and we are more than happy to be working with them,” Henning added. “Calls for positively verifying the age and identity of all internet users continue to spread across the world, making age verification likely a matter of ‘when’ not ‘if.’ This is something that the association supports and keeps a close eye on, and will rely on the guidance of companies such as AgeChecked to help us stay abreast of the newest developments and solutions.”

“ASACP is grateful to AgeChecked for its commitment to the association and to the noble task of making a positive difference in child protection,” Henning concluded. “We embrace the company into our family of sponsors and encourage other brands to step up and follow AgeChecked’s lead.”

Entrenue Now Shipping Fun Factory ‘Share Lite’ Double Dildo

Entrenue Now Shipping Fun Factory 'Share Lite' Double Dildo

PHOENIX — Entrenue has been named a semi-exclusive U.S. distributor of Fun Factory’s new Share Lite lightweight double dildo.

“This innovative strapless strap-on was created to offer a thoughtful update to the original Share and took valuable customer feedback to heart, creating one of the most lightweight and comfortable strapless strap-ons on the market,” a rep said.

A rep noted Share Lite is both longer and lighter than most similar toys, and 22% lighter than the original Share, making it easier for the wearer’s pelvic muscles to grip and lift it while creating a thrusting experience that is “both natural and super hot.”

The Share Lite can be used without a harness; the girthy end is wide enough to stay put and a lightweight inner core means the receiver’s end won’t sink. An adjustable hinge allows users to bend the toy however they like for a secure fit.

“Share Lite’s lightweight core, firm but flexible texture and balanced design means it will stay ‘erect’ through even the most vigorous play,” added the rep. “No drooping tips here. The adjustable hinge makes Share Lite posable. Users can make it comfortable for them and their partners regardless of gender or size. It’s one toy for any position, or pair of bodies, with no special accessories required.”

Entrenue CEO and owner Joe Casella described Share Lite as “truly a product that customers have been waiting for.”

“We’re always excited to see what Fun Factory comes up with, and the Share Lite is a big deal,” Casella said. “So many users are drawn to double dildos and strapless strap-ons only to end up disappointed when the toys are too heavy to comfortably use without a harness. The innovative design of the Share Lite is sure to thrill shoppers, and it’s made by Fun Factory, so retailers know it’s a product they can trust.”

The Share Lite is available in blackberry and deep sea blue. On the wearer’s end, its dimensions are 5″ long and 1.75″ wide; on the receiver’s receiver’s end, it is 6.5″ long and 1.5″ wide.

In related news, Entrenue will host a Fun Factory training session online Tuesday at 11 a.m. (PDT); all retailers are welcome to attend. Contact a preferred Entrenue rep for webinar details.

WOW Tech’s Ellen ten Brink Passes Away

BERLIN — WOW Tech’s Ellen ten Brink passed away in March, the company has reported. She was 59.

It is with deep sadness we share the untimely passing of beloved partner, friend and colleague Ellen ten Brink, on March 23, 2022, at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer. We miss her deeply and keep her joyful, energetic, and humorous spirit with us.

Ellen joined Standard Innovation (creator of We-Vibe) in 2013 as a Sales Merchandising Manager for EMEA. In the first two years she was the only person in the territory and made We-Vibe a well-known brand across Europe and to South Africa. She quickly became a much-appreciated part of a small team for her professionalism and positive attitude towards customers and colleagues alike.

After two years she hired Seron Brouwer and together they took care of the whole territory; visiting customers, providing product training, contacting bloggers, coordinating public relations, organizing trade shows, and even building booths together. Back then there was no warehouse in Europe, so their attics and garages were always full of stock.

Ellen became part of the Wow Tech family in 2018, when We-Vibe and Womanizer merged. She played an integral role in mentoring, educating, and training her sales colleagues in her role as Team Lead for the EMEA Adult offline team. Until her final diagnosis in August 2021, she was an essential and valued part of the WOW Tech family.

Ellen loved her job and was passionate about the products, enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. We are incredibly grateful for her contribution to the company over all these years and for the help and support she provided to new colleagues in the business.

Our thoughts are with her partner Marc and her family. Ellen’s joie de vivre and vivacious smile are missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

In memory of Ellen, consider a donation to AAP, an organization she supported herself. Ellen loved going on beautiful, far away trips with Marc, where nature and animals were central. One of her last trips was to Costa Rica, where she visited a sanctuary that protected her favorite animals, monkeys, and their natural habitat.

Wicked Releases Finale of Seth Gamble-Helmed ‘Deranged’

Wicked Releases Finale of Seth Gamble-Helmed 'Deranged'

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has released the final episodes of Seth Gamble’s feature directorial debut, “Deranged.”

Produced by Axel Braun, the eight-part series stars Kenzie Taylor and Tommy Pistol in “a moody psycho-sexual thriller” written by Gamble. The final three scenes pair Coco Lovelock and Pistol, and Jennifer White with Pistol and Alex Mack.

Braun and Gamble have been collaborative partners for 15 years. “I am really proud of this series, and I could easily say I was blown away by Seth’s directing prowess, but the truth is I knew he had it in him all along,” enthused Braun. “We are literally witnessing the birth of a directing career that will take him all the way to the top, and I couldn’t be happier for him. There is simply nobody else in the industry who is as driven and as focused as Seth, and this series is proof that his talent for visual storytelling is incredible.”

“The grand finale of ‘Deranged’ is nothing short of epic, and I am thrilled that our first foray into continuous-storyline projects has been such a huge success,” Braun said.

Braun described female lead Kenzie Taylor as “a fantastic actress.”

“She made her acting look effortless, while the reality is that she immersed in the role completely, to the point of writing a 46-page backstory for her character. Also, she is drop-dead gorgeous and exudes sexuality, which is a weapon she uses to great effect in her performance,” noted Braun. “It’s a huge accomplishment that she achieved not only thanks to her undeniable talent, but also through her hard work and commitment to the craft, and I couldn’t be more proud of her.”

Gamble praised working with White and Mack.

“Jennifer brings a lot of experience and professionalism to the set, and you could really see it in her scene with Alex,” the director said. “It was actually one of Alex’s first features and the scene was shot outside at night. I want to thank both Jennifer and him for pulling off such a great scene — and they did it in 45-degree weather.”

The concluding episodes of “Deranged” are available exclusively on Wicked.com.

XBIZ News Editor Speaks at UC Santa Barbara on ‘War on Porn’

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — XBIZ News Editor Gustavo Turner spoke yesterday about the “War on Porn” as part of Prof. Constance Penley’s film and media studies class on pornography at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Prof. Penley is past chair of UCSB’s Film and Media Studies Department, founding director of the Carsey-Wolf Center for media research and an acclaimed scholar who has been a pioneer in researching and teaching in the Cultural Studies field of Porn Studies.

Her noted four-unit elective class, “Topics in Popular Culture: Pornography” in the UCSB Film and Media Studies Department, covers three tracks with academic rigor: a history of moving image pornographies, a survey of methods for studying pornographies and an exploration of the contemporary adult industry and its workers.

In an interview-format presentation moderated by Prof. Penley’s students, Turner covered current issues of censorship in the U.S. and worldwide, political and legislative topics — including Section 230 and FOSTA/SESTA — sex worker rights, diversity and representation and the current economics and status of the contemporary adult industry.

Students also asked questions about Turner’s scholarly background, his professional career as a writer and journalist in both mainstream and adult industry media, and his other career as a thriving art photographer.

Prof. Penley described Turner’s visit as “stimulating” and said his contextualization of the adult business in the current social, political and cultural landscape was “exactly everything they needed to hear as an introduction to help make the rest of the class make sense.”

“I could not have more admiration for Prof. Penley — a fellow UC Berkeley alum — and her pioneering work not only in Porn Studies, but also in Feminist Film Studies, Avant Garde Film, Fan Culture Studies, and the study of the impact of audiovisual content in American and world culture in general,” Turner said.

“Her students were well-prepared, curious, open-minded and full of empathy and insight for the often misunderstood and maligned world of adult entertainment,” he added. “In a time of creeping censorship from both self-described conservatives and liberal/progressives, it was heartening to see that — as Pete Townshend sang in a different century — the kids are all right.”
