Miss Mae Ling Talks Diaper Play With ‘Erotic Awakening’ Podcast

LAS VEGAS — Miss Mae Ling was the latest guest on the “Erotic Awakening” podcast and talked about diaper play with hosts Dan and Dawn.

For context, diaper play isn’t just about diapers but about “emphasizing or highlighting the play that you already partake in,” a rep explained.

According to Ling, diapers can be especially useful when dominating someone.

“The crinkle of the diapers can be used as a notification system, telling you when your submissive is moving – perhaps out of position leading to ‘punishment,” Ling explained.

Alt Erotic’s Misha Montana, Evilyn Ink Detail Their Holiday Weekend Fun

LOS ANGELES — Several notable stars from Alt Erotic have detailed their festive holiday weekend as well as a Christmas morning gift tease.

Performer and brand ambassador Misha Montana recently earned a pair of 2022 XBIZ Awards nominations for her showcase “InkedXXXploitation of Misha Montana.”

“My favorite Christmas tradition is leaving out cookies for Santa; over the years, I’ve adapted my strategy to entice him and I now leave out whiskey bottles, marijuana edible cookies, condoms and lines of sugar with a straw,” she said.

This year, Montana left out some of her own DVDs. “I know that Santa is stressed, so I want to make sure he’s taken care of,” she quipped.

Evilyn Ink noted her “XXX-mas” was “beyond dirty,” and involved “my red string bikini and cute little elf hat for Santa and his little helpers. I [begged] to sit on Santa’s lap even though I know I’m on the naughty list.”

“I know a lot of people love a cold, snowy Christmas — not me, I want a warm California Christmas,” she said. Her gift list included “lots of dildos, whips, gags and butt plugs. Being on the naughty list isn’t really that bad.”

For Them’s ‘Intimacy Serum’ Spotlights Queer Marketing

For Them's 'Intimacy Serum' Spotlights Queer Marketing

LOS ANGELES — For Them’s “intimacy serum” — marketed to “queer, gender-expansive folx” — has been featured in a profile by Paper magazine.

Paper described the serum as “a new type of sexual wellness product.”

“A multipurpose oil concocted from aphrodisiacs that makes the point of application more sensitive through increased blood flow, it can be used anywhere for a blissful experience that goes beyond the genitals,” noted Paper writer Sandra Song.

Song points out that while intimacy serums are often marketed towards cishet (cisgender, heterosexual) women, For Them is trying a different strategy, being “specifically designed for everyone.”

For Them’s product, Song wrote, is “a queer, gender-expansive serum that is so much more than something to ‘get you wet.’”

Founder Chloe Freeman, who created the company to manufacture chest binders after they became frustrated with the available options, told Paper that their take on sex is not just “we’re going to have sex and then we’re done, or we’re only driving towards orgasm.”

Freeman noted the new serum speaks to the fact that sex is “more experiential.”

“Intimacy is multifaceted. So even if it makes it easier for you to penetrate somebody, it’s less about that and more about how we can come back to the body and feel really comfortable,” they explained. “I think that’s really overlooked when it comes to intimacy.”

For Them’s serum is thus designed to cater to “the diversity of the folx that are having sex” and reaffirm the ways they identify even in a non-sexual context, Freeman added.

Russia Tightens Internet Censorship Through Fines for ‘Banned Content’

MOSCOW — A year after Vladimir Putin announced sweeping measures to regulate internet content, a Russian court today fined Google nearly $100 million for “systematic failure to remove banned content,” which encompasses both political and social messaging of which the Moscow government does not approve, and almost all adult material online.

The fine is “the largest such penalty yet in the country as Moscow attempts to rein in Western tech giants,” the Washington Post reported. It follows a series of reports by the Russian government’s internet regulatory body, Roskomnadzor — a Russian acronym for Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media.

Meta — the company formerly known as Facebook, which also owns Instagram — was fined approximately $27 million for the same supposed crime against mandatory moderation.

“The fine represents an escalation in Russia’s push to pressure foreign tech firms to comply with its increasingly strict rules on what it deems illegal content,” wrote the Washington Post’s Isabelle Khurshudyan.

Where Politics and ‘Pornography’ Collide

The international press has emphasized Putin’s onslaught against apps, websites, posts and videos that may mention jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, but the category for “banned content” is broad and imprecise, with shifting boundaries that in practice are deployed through highly selective enforcement.

Often, actual enforcement cites “pornography,” “sexual material” or “endangering youth” as justifications for prosecutions that may have a political component.

Last April, as XBIZ reported, a Navalny-linked dissident was jailed in a high-security prison after a government spy denounced him for “obscene material” — in fact, a music video — supposedly posted seven years ago.

“In 2014,” Amnesty International explained, the political dissident had apparently “shared the music video for [German punk metal band] Rammstein’s song ‘Pussy’ on the Russian social network VKontakte. More than six years later in September 2020, the authorities charged him with ‘production and distribution of pornography.’”

Google has 10 days to appeal the unprecedentedly large fine, which follows other smaller fines requested by Roskomnadzor since Putin announced the tightening of censorship in his 2020 end-of-year address to the country.

‘Highly Unpleasant Measures’

At his 2021 end-of-year press conference on Thursday, Putin said Russia “will continue insisting that our joint work with global network platforms will be in line with the Russian laws.”

Putin also threatened a block of platforms “if we are forced into it.”

“We will be forced to up our demands in regard to everyone who works with such issues and ignores the interests of Russian society,” the Russian leader added.

Anton Gorelkin, the deputy chairperson of the Russian State Duma Information Policy Committee, threatened Google via his Telegram channel with “highly unpleasant measures.”

“If the turnover-based fine does not bring Google to its senses,” Gorelkin added, the Putin regime will resort to these unspecified “unpleasant measures” in order to “continue to defend the right of Russian citizens to a safe online environment.”

Censorship and ‘Black Boxes’

In October, The New York Times reported that earlier in the year, Roskomnadzor sent a series of seeming routing emails and forms to internet service providers across the country requesting disclosure of traffic numbers, equipment specifications and connection speeds.

Then, according to the Times, “government-approved technicians” installed mysterious “black boxes” alongside the ISPs’ own systems and servers.

“Sometimes caged behind lock and key, the new gear linked back to a command center in Moscow, giving authorities startling new powers to block, filter and slow down websites that they did not want the Russian public to see,” the New York Times report continued. “The process, underway since 2019, represents the start of perhaps the world’s most ambitious digital censorship effort outside of China. Under President Putin, who once called the internet a ‘CIA project’ and views the web as a threat to his power, the Russian government is attempting to bring the country’s internet to heel.”

Earlier this month, Roskomnadzor filed the year-end fines against Google and Meta; at the same time, the government regulator temporarily blocked access to Tor browsers.

This week, it was announced that the controlling stakes for Russia’s most popular domestically-based social networking platform, VKontakte or VK, had quietly been transferred to Gazprom Media and Sogaz, both companies that are closely linked to the government and Putin.

In June, a Roskomnadzor unit proposed segregating all “X-rated material” by “shuttering [it] away in an adults-only area on the internet” based on the government’s determination of what is “illegal” or “not prohibited by law.”

Wicked Sensual Care Names ‘Justice’ Newest ‘Retail Superstar’

TEMPE, Ariz. — Wicked Sensual Care (WSC) has announced its newest “Retail Superstar” honoree is Justice, customer service associate for Fascinations in Tempe, Arizona.

“Whether it is to recognize the inspiring track record of a hardworking sales associate or to salute the exemplary contributions of an educator or gifted customer service specialist,” a rep noted, “each month a new superstar of the pleasure products space is interviewed for the WSC newsletter.

Retail veteran Justice, the rep continued, was chosen for “his rich and varied product knowledge which makes him a trusted member of the Fascinations family.”

“A lot of our customers aren’t familiar with the sex world,” Justice said. “Whether it is due to their upbringing or negative stereotyping about sex and adult stores, the reasons go on and on. At Fascinations, we try to flip the script when it comes to adult stores.”

“One way I try to go about that is to give our visitors accurate, up-to-date product information: what certain products are, what materials they use, how they work, and what their warranties cover,” Justice continued. “There is so much product out there, and the sheer volume can become overwhelming and lead to feelings of inadequacy. Armed with a smile and a calm demeanor, I try to nip those feelings in the bud,” he added.

Justice mentioned studying XBIZ’s publications in print and online to read up on the newest products and learn about what is coming out.

“I attend every seminar and test every product so I can give customers my personal, informed recommendations,” he added.

“Having a dedicated, product-savvy employee can make all the difference in our retail partners’ stores,” observed WSC Sales Director Jennifer Brice. “A forward-thinking customer service associate like Justice elevates both the customer experience and his entire team. We see you and we celebrate you, Justice.”

Those working in the retail sector of the pleasure products space are invited to nominate employees and colleagues who continuously exceed expectations and deserve recognition for their ability to position themselves as product and industry experts. A superstar may be nominated by sending their name, store name, location/city, store social media handles, and a brief paragraph about why they deserve to be a superstar to team@wickedsensualcare.com. Superstars may also self-nominate.

German Digital Rights Group Warns Against Imminent Porn Block

BERLIN — German digital rights group Netzpolitik.org has published an editorial warning against the current onslaught by self-proclaimed “youth protectors” attempting to use the country’s court system to obtain a government ban on adult tube sites.

Earlier this month, the one-man War on Porn being conducted in Germany by Tobias Schmid — an obscure, conservative local bureaucrat from the North Rhine-Westphalia region — resulted in the first national ban order on “three pornographic sites based in Cyprus, later identified by Der Spiegel as YouPorn, Pornhub and MyDirtyHobby.

The same anti-porn campaign has also targeted xHamster, one of Germany’s leading tube sites, which has offices in Cyprus.

Schmid has stated that his goal is to “shut down” all major tube sites over alleged age-verification infractions.

Tuesday’s article published by Netzpolitik was written Sebastian Meineck, a seasoned journalist with profound knowledge of the digital rights situation in the most prominent Central European nation.

“For a long time, porn sites based abroad had little to fear from the German ‘protection of minors’ regulations,” Meineck wrote. “Now ‘youth protection’ activists are giving the websites’ operators a seemingly simple choice: either they implement the German youth protection regulations voluntarily — meaning, no porn for minors — or countermeasures, including network blocks, are threatened.”

“In this case,” he adds, “a porn site could no longer be accessed in Germany without workarounds.”

Meineck points out Schmid’s central role from his perch in the State Media Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia, as the ringleader of the campaign to deplatform adult sites that do not comply.

Schmid’s campaign almost exactly mirrors a similar campaign currently underway in France, also spearheaded by self-described “children’s advocates.”

Germany’s top ISPs Vodafone, Telefonica, 1 & 1 and Pÿur confirmed to Netzpolitik that “consultations” are currently taking place regarding blocking the tube sites.

Telekom declined to comment on ongoing proceedings, but spokesperson said the company is “critical” regarding blocking.

A Carefully Plotted Strategy of ‘Small Steps’

Meineck notes that there is precedent for Schmid’s strategy: in 2007, according to the article, YouPorn received a network ban because a competitor complained to ISP Arcor about a supposed “lack of protection of minors.” Arcor challenged the ban in court and it was reportedly lifted in 2008.

But the article also points out that “blocking the network is considered a harsh tool” with unpredictable political consequences for free speech and digital rights. A prominent politician called it a “Pandora’s Box,” in a country that still has not fully come to terms with its descent into totalitarian rule in the mid-20th century.

Blocks “generally violate the principle of network neutrality,” Meineck wrote, “and in authoritarian states they are a tool for censorship. When then-CDU Family Minister Ursula von der Leyen wanted to introduce network blocks in Germany in 2009, critics gave her the nickname ‘Zensursula’ [Censor-Ursula] and there were violent waves of protests.”

Trying to answer the question of how a blanket block of Germany’s most-visited porn site is imminent, and is being rammed through by an minor bureaucrat from North Rhine-Westphalia, Meineck points out that it is the product of “many small administrative steps” in the background.

“Only when viewed as a whole does the net political impact emerge,” he writes.
