VR Bangers Announces Planned Metaverse Integration

VR Bangers Announces Planned Metaverse Integration

LOS ANGELES — VR Bangers has announced an ongoing campaign to integrate its content into the metaverse, with a beta version of its presence in this new virtual space planned for mid-2022.

The company is currently in the process of “creating a new camera rig to achieve an even better quality that would make their metaverse even more realistic,” explained a rep.

VR Bangers’ goal, they continued, is to reach 12K ultra-high-definition virtual reality, although the current generation of VR headsets is not able to display this kind of quality.

According to CEO Daniel Abramovich, the company has made significant investments in order to get VR porn into the metaverse, including hiring over 20 additional developers to create a space where VR porn enthusiasts “could actually meet and discuss VR porn and/or even have sex in virtual reality with each other.”

Abramovich explained that “some come into the meta to simply discuss the different quality or technology behind virtual reality porn and this is completely understandable. After all, sex in VR is completely different from regular porn, where people can only watch. Our users really love to give feedback — whether it is good or bad. 12K UHD is yet another step in VR Bangers’ evolution — and we have done a lot of these steps in the past.”

“We are going to request access to the Oculus metaverse since we believe that porn is actually one of the main reasons people really watch VR,” he added.

Abramovich also hopes to integrate major talent into VR Banger’s metaverse operation in an interactive capacity. “These professional porn stars have fans all around the world and since normally they have to pay a lot of attention to their privacy in real life, in the virtual reality world they will not have to worry about anything,” he stated. “They will be able to interact with all their followers in a safe and realistic way.”

Content Creator CaringErin Guests on ‘Swell Shenanigans’ Podcast

LOS ANGELES — Content creator CaringErin is the latest guest on the “Swell Shenanigans” podcast.

With a career going back seven years, Erin offered her insight into how OnlyFans has impacted the adult industry and discussed how many creators have a false understanding of how to become successful producing adult content.

“Suddenly everybody is talking, ‘Oh, I’m just gonna make an OnlyFans.’ And a lot of people who had never done any kind of adult content creation or adult entertainment started to see it as easy money,” Erin noted about the spike in popularity OnlyFans received during the pandemic. “You saw a lot of people making jokes like ‘I’m gonna quit my job and just start an OnlyFans.’”

She pointed out that many people quickly joined OnlyFans and similar platforms despite little or no experience creating content, images and clips, nor did they understand social media marketing.

Other topics during the interview range from how personal criticism feels when you are the product and how Erin has balanced her pregnancy, and now motherhood, with her work.

The full interview, running approximately 44 minutes, can be found on YouTube.

Arizona Legislator Proposes Copycat ‘Porn Filter’ Bill

MESA, Ariz. — A Republican state representative in Arizona has introduced legislation mandating that tech companies activate some form of “porn filter” by default on any device sold in the state, mimicking a controversial bill passed in Utah last year.

The bill’s sponsor, Michelle Udall (R-Mesa), is also currently running for Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction. She has said that she is seeking the position, which would put her in charge of public education in the state, because “our kids can’t afford four more years of school closures, contentious mandates and critical race theory.”

Udall’s bill would “bar the sale of any computer, smartphone or tablet in Arizona if it doesn’t include a filter that would block children from accessing ‘harmful content,’ and would hold them criminally liable if they fail to do so,” the Arizona Mirror reported today. This mirrors a bill passed in Utah in March 2021, which included a provision specifically designed to encourage copycat bills such as Udall’s.

The new bill, according to the report, “gives parents the right to sue the manufacturer if their child accesses ‘harmful material’ and anyone who removes a filter would face a class 6 felony and a $50,000 fine. Companies that don’t comply also can face criminal liability under the bill’s language.”

The Arizona Mirror found evidence that the bill may actually have been drafted by conservative activist and anti-LGBTQ+ crusader Chris Sevier — currently based in France — who has been notorious for attempting to advance eccentric legislation around the country.

In 2019, the Arizona Mirror reported, Sevier convinced another Arizona legislator, Rep. Gail Griffin (R-Hereford), to put forward a bill “that would have charged Arizona residents $20 to access pornographic material and used the money to fund construction of a border wall along the state’s southern border with Mexico. Griffin later said she would no longer pursue the bill after it drew national attention.”

Udall told the Mirror that she is not familiar with Sevier and claimed that the bill was brought to her by “concerned parents/grandparents in [her] district who are trying to keep pornography out of the hands of children.”

“It is something I have been working with them on for a few years now,” she continued. “Children are accessing pornography at younger and younger ages and it is something many parents and grandparents are working hard to prevent.”

FSC: Arizona Porn Filter Bill is ‘Unconstitutional’

The Arizona Mirror article quoted Free Speech Coalition Director of Public Affairs Mike Stabile, who criticized the bill as “unconstitutional.”

“It asks that the government limit access to otherwise legal speech,” Stabile said. “The government is welcome to fund a campaign to encourage parents or guardians to use filters, and private companies are welcome to install filters of their own volition. But the government cannot require them to do so.”

War on Porn crusaders have been attempting to move forward with copycat bills since Governor Spencer J. Cox signed the Utah bill into law ten months ago. That bill only passed after it was amended with the odd mandate that it “will not go into effect until five additional states have adopted similar language. It gives a 10-year period for that to occur,” the Salt Lake City Fox affiliate reported in February 2021.

Pokmi Touts Biometrics Age Verification Solution

PARIS — Pokmi’s age verification solution is the subject of a recently released feature in the French edition of Forbes magazine.

The article, part of the section “Focus Tech,” was titled “The Poken Company Wants to Prevent the Access of Minors to Pornographic Content” and highlights the work of Pokmi’s parent company on age verification technology.

“After the Conseil Supérieur de l’Audiovisuel [CSA, the national online regulator] has demanded that big ‘X’ platforms (Pornhub, Tukif, xHamster, XVideos and XNXX) prevent the access of minors to their content,” wrote Forbes France reporter Pierre Berthoux, “startup The Poken Company proposes a facial recognition whitelabel solution to address this issue.”

According to the article, Poken has partnered with Yoti to create an age verification solution for their Pokmi platform. Company founders Nils Lataillade and Marco Garniga are seeking to convince other “big players” in the adult industry to adopt their facial recognition solution, which, according to Forbes France, “analyzes users’ faces to determine their age without storing data,” while complying with European rules about biometric data privacy.

Pokmi, the 2022 XBIZ award-winner for “Emerging Web Brand of the Year,” is described as a decentralized streaming platform and NFT marketplace for adult performers and their fans. Launched earlier this year, the France-based platform counts top talent such as Maitland Ward, Kayden Kross, Abella Danger, Manuel Ferrara and Lane V. Rogers as brand ambassadors.

According to a a rep, “Pokmi also notes that its blockchain structure is also intended to safeguard online creators from illegal reproduction and theft.”

Garniga and Lataillade explained that “thanks to strategic partnerships with security-focused companies with the same values and concerns, our goal with Pokmi is to elevate its users’ experiences quickly and efficiently, with a focus on security and ethical practices.”

“The Forbes article perfectly illustrates our commitment to creating a safer online space to buy, sell and trade content and connect with fans on a deeper, more profound and exciting level,” they added, “and we look forward to further developing and expanding our brand in 2022.”

Chloe Cherry Makes Debut in HBO Drama ‘Euphoria’

Chloe Cherry Makes Debut in HBO Drama 'Euphoria'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Chloe Cherry made her debut Sunday as a featured character in HBO’s popular high-school drama “Euphoria,” produced by Drake and executive produced by series star Zendaya.

Cherry’s performance as “Faye” in the hit prestige cable series made such an impression that the show’s creative team chose to highlight her comedic delivery, during an Uber ride scene with Zendaya, as the punchline of the season’s trailer. The character of Faye appeared in the first episode of the second season, quickly becoming a fan favorite.

“The moment I got this audition, I knew I could do it,” Cherry exclusively told XBIZ. “I love becoming a character that is totally different from me. I knew she had to be tough but also make you smile. I came up with so much backstory in my mind to become her. She has seen so much and just keeps experiencing more darkness and insanity.”

“You can tell she wants more, though,” Cherry continued. “You can see in her clothing and her sense of humor she has something bright in her. The entire cast and crew was extremely talented and amazing to work with. I got to improv some lines which was very fun. I hope you all love Faye and find her funny and exciting.”

Cherry’s inclusion in one of the most lauded and talked-about cable TV offerings — along with her gutsy choice to keep her adult performer name in the credits — marks yet another step in the erosion of the discriminatory barriers that have been known to prevent sex workers and adult performers from auditioning for mainstream roles.

Cherry made her high-profile “Euphoria” debut confidently and matter-of-factly, skipping over the absurd line separating performers who have or have had sex on camera from those who don’t. Doing so, she follows in the very recent footsteps of such crossover stars as 2022 XBIZ Performer of the Year Maitland Ward, who has a sitcom in the works premiering this year; Zelda Morrison, nominated for a prestigious Independent Spirit acting award for her brilliant supporting role in Ninja Thyberg’s “Pleasure”; and erstwhile solo model Simon Rex, heralded internationally for his role as a male talent in Sean Baker’s “Red Rocket.”

Besides featured player Cherry, other adult stars have also shot scenes for “Euphoria” as background performers, including Aiden Ashley, Diana Grace and 2022 XBIZ Best New Performer Kenzie Anne.
