ASACP Names Southern Charms, Rabbits Reviews, Segpay as September Sponsors

LOS ANGELES — ASACP has announced Southern Charms, Rabbit’s Reviews and Segpay its Featured Sponsors for September.

“Among the industry’s most respected companies,” a rep explained, “ASACP’s Featured Sponsors serve as excellent examples of how corporate responsibility, ethical operation and basic proactive measures all help to protect minors and other viewers from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials online.”

ASACP’s Executive Director Tim Henning shared that the nonprofit association’s ongoing success relied on continued support from market-leading companies and organizations that fight to keep minors out of and away from adult-oriented materials.

“ASACP’s sponsors promote online child safety and help protect the innocence of youth by taking several simple steps to restrict access to their apps and sites,” Henning explained. “By educating publishers and stakeholders about the need for these measures and how they can best be implemented across an evolving range of digital media platforms, ASACP continues to make a positive, relevant difference in the daily digital lives of minors.”

The support that ASACP receives from sponsors, including Southern Charms, Rabbit’s Reviews and Segpay, “power its 25-year-long record of success and enables its free child protection resources; including market-specific Best Practices and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for businesses, app publishers, and all operators of age-restricted websites,” a rep said.

September’s Featured Sponsors include:

Southern Charms

An ASACP Title Sponsor since 2003, amateur porn powerhouse Southern Charms is one of the world’s largest sites, with more than two decades of experience in providing women over the age of 18 with an opportunity to have their own website. Accessible to adults only, Southern Charms takes pride in being a clean site that features age-verified models with releases on file for each performer.

“You will not find any obscene material or underage models on Southern Charms. You will only find clean adult amateur fun,” said a company representative. “Please rest assured that if someone communicates to us that they are interested in underage pictures of models, we will report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.”

In addition to its support of ASACP, Southern Charms backs up its business philosophy by making use of RTA labeling and a clean warning page, as well as by securing explicit content within its premium members’ area.

Rabbit’s Reviews

As a corporate Sponsor that has supported ASACP since 2005, the Rabbit’s Reviews Network is made up of free websites that provide honest and expert reviews across all niches of the adult industry. As a veteran in the industry, RabbitsReviews.com along with TheBestPorn.com, continue to act as the “Consumer Reports” of internet pornography, providing expert value and quality ratings for all types of adult sites.

They have since expanded their network to include several other independent adult resource sites in the live cam and virtual reality niches, including MyFavSexCams.xxx, TopChats.com, and VRPornSites.xxx. This expansion combined with more than 16 years of experience and a dedication to innovation cements Rabbit’s Network as a leader in the industry and puts them in a superior position to understand the importance of protecting children from inappropriate digital content.

Rabbit’s Network continues to aid in the prevention of minors’ unauthorized access to its age-restricted material through the use of a warning page and parental filtering controls. These measures provide a vital protective barrier between youth and adult entertainment by following ASACP’s Best Practices. It is with the help and generous support of sponsors like Rabbit’s Network that ASACP has been able to carry on its mission of protecting children.

Segpay

Since 2005, Segpay has helped high-risk businesses take payments quickly while implementing a compliance framework, and has supported ASACP since 2016 as a valued Corporate Sponsor.

For her part, Segpay CEO Cathy Beardsley said the company is proud to work with the association to help carry out the crucial mission of making the internet safer for children.

“As a mother of three myself, it’s an issue that’s especially important to me and one that Segpay takes very seriously,” Beardsley explained. “We encourage our merchants to use age verification as well as take advantage of ASACP’s ‘Restricted To Adults’ labeling to help parents filter content that is not intended for children.”

Beardsley said the company’s strict commitment to compliance dictates that it regularly reviews and checks its merchants’ content to identify, report, and immediately shut down any child exploitation wherever it is found.

“ASACP plays a crucial role in facilitating this reporting and ensuring a trusted online environment that ultimately helps the adult industry become more accepted in mainstream society,” Beardsley concluded. “That is good for our business while helping to make the world a better place.”

“ASACP is grateful for and humbled by the continued commitment, generosity, and leadership displayed by our family of sponsors, including long-term contributors like Southern Charms, Rabbit’s Reviews and Segpay and we encourage other market leaders to join us in carrying our mission forward,” Henning concluded. “ASACP’s sponsors make a meaningful difference in the battle for online child protection — and your company can, too.”

Sex Worker Collectives to Protest Against Banking Discrimination Tomorrow

Sex Worker Collectives to Protest Against Banking Discrimination Tomorrow

NEW YORK — A group of national and local sex worker collectives are planning a series of online actions and offline protests tomorrow to “demand an immediate pause” on Mastercard’s new adult content guidelines effective in October and to “protest ongoing discrimination from the banking industry.”

The collectives want the credit card giant to suspend the implementation of the new rules “pending the creation of stakeholder advisory councils.”

“MasterCard’s proposed policies have numerous serious flaws and will result in a major chilling effect and destruction of many ways of working for sex workers and other impacted parties by denying access to financial infrastructure,” said a rep. “We are also protesting debanking like MasterCard’s pullout from Pornhub and discrimination from banks (like BNY Mellon) that caused OnlyFans to almost drop adult content.”

The September 1 protests aim to “demand a stop to discrimination against sex work and to policies made without stakeholder input and care for harm.”

“While every set of statistics show most CSAM and other abuse is on so-called ‘safe for work’ sites, MasterCard’s policies are intentionally written to require only adult sites to adhere to new draconian policies,” explained one of the organizers. “Both survivors of abuse and adult workers – many of whom are the same people – deserve better than policies that sidestep nuanced internet-wide harm reduction in favor of scapegoating a specific category of highly stigmatized labor.”

“We decided to protest in person outside BNY Mellon because it was revealed in recent reporting that they flagged and blocked every transaction to pay creators through the OnlyFans platform, contributing to instability that almost caused the platform to kick all adult content,” the organizer added.

For more information, visit SexWorkSignOn.com.

The protest is scheduled for several cities on Wednesday September 1, 10 a.m. (EDT), with a main event in New York City at the Bank of NY Mellon HeadQuarters, 240 Greenwich St., organized by SWOP Brooklyn.

Additional protests are being organized for Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and Houston.

Velvet Thruster Partners With Product Influencer Super Smash Cache

Velvet Thruster Partners With Product Influencer Super Smash Cache

LOS ANGELES — Velvet Thruster is celebrating the release of their new G-spot thrusting dildo “Nanci,” designed by product influencer and sex toy reviewer Cy Smash (aka Super Smash Cache).

Smash teamed up with Velvet Thruster co-founders Danyell and Alex Fima, when they — along with SheVibe reps — hosted a number of sexual wellness professionals, top product reviewers, and adult pleasure influencers.

“We asked if they would give us guidance on the product family revisions, and we gave them a chance to
design and shape a dildo design for our thruster relaunch — now known as our Prime series product family,” said a rep.

When launched initially, the Velvet Thruster products were static, they did not allow toy shape changes or adding accessories. “We came away from the meeting knowing that was a top criterion for our relaunch for our original thrusting dildo products,” the rep added.

Danyell Fima said, “We really appreciate the valuable opinions from our sexual wellness influencer community because they represent a broad, diverse consumer base and give us straightforward guidance about what users want in their thrusting sex tech products.

Alex Fima added that “all of the industry participants that attended our ANME party gave us great feedback and comments which we used to guide the updated designs in our newly launched Velvet Thruster products. It was amazing how interested the crew was in the mechanical engineering portion of the design.”

The company said they “aspire to implement many more influencers’ and sex toy experts’ design advice for the Velvet Thruster brand. It helps us see outside the box and certainly brings us educational diversity, which we would otherwise lack from our product development process. This fall, we plan to enter more direct engagements with sexual wellness professionals to develop more products.”

Phil Helmuth, described by some as “the greatest poker tournament player of all time,” is also interviewed for an article that explores his opinions on bracelets, feuds and “transforming himself into the toast of Las Vegas,” notes a rep.

Another new article in the September issue explores a group of women who tired of their careers in law, business, social work and ballet, among other jobs, and decided to become adult workers.

Liz Flynt’s publisher’s statement addresses rich tax dodgers who have paid zero income taxes in some years. “Flynt encourages readers to support President Biden and his agenda to increase the IRS enforcement budget to go after scofflaws,” the rep said, “and work toward tax justice in this time of massive income inequality.”

Woodhull Freedom Foundation Denounces ‘Harmful’ Anti-Porn Campaign

WASHINGTON — The Woodhull Freedom Foundation has released an official statement about the campaign that resulted in OnlyFans decision — later reversed after sex worker outcry — to ban sexual content.

The statement was signed by Ricci Levy, president of the prestigious national organization dedicated to affirming and protecting sexual freedom as a fundamental human right.

This is the Woodhull Freedom Foundation’s statement.

When OnlyFans announced it was going to ban pornography on its platform they were clearly participating in a campaign to police, restrict, and punish sexual pleasure. The reaction from sex workers and their allies was swift and fierce. Without these efforts, this harmful campaign would surely have succeeded, and would have implications reaching well beyond the lives of sex workers. It could have restricted the freedom of anyone who wanted to post or view explicitly sexual content.

And it isn’t just policies like the one that OnlyFans nearly put into action. SESTA/FOSTA, an unconstitutional law enacted in 2018, is being challenged in Federal court (Woodhull Freedom Foundation vs. The United States of America). In addition to clear violations of the First and Fifth Amendments, the law  makes it possible for people or platforms to be punished for actions taken in the past when the action was not illegal. Additionally, there are ongoing attempts to overturn Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which essentially says that the chalkboard isn’t responsible for what someone else writes on it. If these attempts are successful free speech on the internet will be a thing of the past.

These policies all claim to be aimed at goals we think everyone supports: fighting sexual exploitation, human trafficking, and child sex abuse. Yet, only platforms that embrace human sexuality are targeted, and they are targeted in ways that actually make it harder to fight human trafficking. Woodhull Freedom Foundation opposes human trafficking, forced labor, and sexual abuse in all forms. But laws like this won’t help us protect people’s human rights. Instead, they restrict our sexual freedoms and make it harder to protect the vulnerable.

OnlyFans did the right thing in reversing their original decision to ban pornography on their site. They faced Goliath in the form of the large payment processors and ultimately stood their ground. But that’s today. When pressure increases tomorrow, which site will cave?

Adam & Eve Compares Attitudes About ‘Love at First Sight’ After a Decade

Adam & Eve Compares Attitudes About 'Love at First Sight' After a Decade

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve had released the results of their latest survey comparing answers to the question “Do you believe in love at first sight?” between 2011 and 2021.

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.

This year, when respondents were asked if they believe in love at first sight, just over 46% of them said yes, compared to 55% in 2011. More than 29% of those polled said they did not believe in love at first sight, compared to 27% in 2011. And more than 24% of the current respondents said they weren’t sure about love at first sight, compared to 18% of those questioned in 2011.

“It’s no surprise to me that with everything going on in the world right now, people are not as optimistic when it comes to the idea of love at first sight,” said Dr. Jenni Skyler, resident sexologist at Adam & Eve. “Additionally, many of us have been isolated in some capacity for much of the last year and a half, so we may have forgotten what that spark, attraction or notion of ‘lust’ at first sight feels like.”

Chad Davis, the company’s director of marketing, said, “Adam & Eve encourages adults to explore their sexuality within their own comfort levels and boundaries. We are happy to provide options and accessories for every stage of relationship.”
