Addison Vodka on Playing Nice – and Playing Rough

‘It’s such a funny story,” says Addison Vodka, tossing her long, beachy blonde waves over her shoulder. “I discovered that my boyfriend at the time was using camming websites behind my back. So I was like, ‘Well, if you’re going to go on there, then I’m just going to go on there.’”

She didn’t expect much — but the response was instantaneous.

“I really had no plan or anything,” Vodka admits. “I’d always loved porn, but I never fathomed that it was something I could do for real. But I ended up getting so many viewers that first night, and I had such a good time. I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is it.’”

She spent the next two and a half years camming on Chaturbate before shifting toward OnlyFans and, eventually, professional studio work. Through it all, Vodka has built a brand around a persona that fans quickly latched onto: the “girl next door gone porn.”

“It’s something people tell me all the time,” Vodka laughs. “Even when I’m on set, people are like, ‘Wow, I didn’t expect you to be such a dirty little freak!’ I guess you can’t judge someone based on how they look.”

That duality — cute and sweet on the outside, wild on camera — isn’t just her brand; it’s her power. Vodka brings that same blend of glam and tenacity to everything she does. She may be known for her soft, polished beauty, but it’s her ability to flip into raw, high-energy performance mode that really helps her shine.

A perfect example? Her recent project with Kink.com.

“Kink was my No. 1 dream shoot,” she gushes. “From the moment I started, I was just waiting for that. Anytime I ever got to do something rougher, it was super exciting for me. So when I got that booking, it was obviously a dream come true. That’s one of my favorite websites ever. I know it doesn’t really match the way I look sometimes! But it’s really fun to be versatile.”

That versatility is a big part of why she has gained such a solid fan base, one that’s followed her across platforms. Vodka chats with fans all day across multiple platforms, and doesn’t take those relationships for granted.

“It’s really important to me,” she says. “You’ve got to have a strong connection with the people who support you. Starting as a cam girl, that is your lifeline. Those people love you because they talk to you.

“They get to know your personality on top of, you know, showing hole,” she laughs. “That’s kind of what I built my brand on: being really easy to talk to and relatable, just a ‘real’ girl.”

Some of Vodka’s longtime fans from her Chaturbate days have followed her every step of the way, but making the jump into studio porn also opened the door to an entirely new audience.

“People who love a cam model, love a cam model,” she says. “They like the experience of feeling like she’s just in her room — it’s more personal. Though it depends. There are fans who watch cams because they love porn, so sometimes it overlaps.”

On set, Vodka brings a distinct kind of fire. She says her favorite part of performing is tapping into a different persona, the part of her that comes alive when the camera starts rolling.

“It feels like a different part of myself every time,” she says. “I love the energy I get to bring. It’s a really fun, exciting energy exchange and release.”

That switch flips fast, too.

“It’s so strange,” she reflects. “Everything just kind of goes blank when I get to set. I could be having the worst day of my life and then I’m like, ‘No, you’ve got to turn it on.’ And I do.”

Vodka has recently started pushing into new territory, including her first gangbang, which she describes as “really fun.” She did it with four other performers, but is already looking forward to more.

“I wish I could just gangbang everyone all at once because there are so many great performers,” she laughs. “I’d also love to do more BDSM stuff. And I really want to do more acting. I want to be in a feature, a showcase — all that fun stuff.”

As much as she brings a powerhouse energy to set, Vodka’s off-camera life is surprisingly chill. A Florida native, she grew up loving sunshine and sand.

“If I still lived in Florida, I’d definitely be at the beach on a perfect day off,” she says. “Anything outside, anything in the sun — that’s my favorite thing. I love to run and go to the beach. I love to tan.”

And when she’s not working, running or jetting to a shoot?

“I’m honestly a pretty big nerd,” she confesses. “Sometimes that surprises people, but I love reading, scrapbooking and other nerdy little things.”

Vodka points to the impressive collection of books behind her, a wall that looks more like a mini library or a cozy indie bookstore.

“I like to read everything,” she says. “I have cheesy romance novels, political books, philosophy… just everything.”

Her personal and professional goals are tightly woven together these days: Keep pushing herself, keep creating.

“I want to continue making things that excite people,” she says. “I want to work with more studios and just level up in every way. Maybe even win some awards?”

Right now, Vodka is prepping for a major content trip for which she’s got some pretty ambitious scenes lined up.

“I’m going to Europe and shooting some pretty crazy stuff,” she teases. “Some more gangbangs, and I’m finally doing a triple vag. Anal is also coming up later in the year.”

After intense scenes like the ones she has planned, most performers find aftercare to be essential. Vodka, however, tends to keep it low-key.

“After my first gangbang, I was just so stoked that I didn’t really need anything,” she says with a grin. “But if it’s something super intense, I just take care of myself — grab some good food, kick back, chill out.”

For anyone looking to follow in her footsteps, Vodka offers advice that is simple, raw and real.

“The industry is definitely competitive now,” she says. “With social media and so many people doing it, you’ve really got to bring something extra. You’ve got to put your personality into it.”

Coming from someone who built her brand on being both relatable and relentlessly real, it’s the kind of advice that lands like a pep talk from the hot older sister you wish you had.

“If it’s what you want, then really go for it,” she affirms. “Push. Work your ass off. Show people who you are. Because it is so worth it when you love what you do!”

NakedSword Releases New VoyR Collab ‘The Barcelona Job’

‘It’s such a funny story,” says Addison Vodka, tossing her long, beachy blonde waves over her shoulder. “I discovered that my boyfriend at the time was using camming websites behind my back. So I was like, ‘Well, if you’re going to go on there, then I’m just going to go on there.’”

PeterFever Debuts Self-Help Parody Series 'Cockaholics Anonymous'

LAS VEGAS — zBUCKz and PeterFever have debuted the new self-help parody series, “Cockaholics Anonymous.”

Directed by Guy Criss, the five-episode series stars Levy Foxx, Jessie Lee, Travis Yukarin, Danny Willcoxx, and Zacc Andrews.

“The story revolves around a therapeutic meeting for the four sex addicts led by stern Zacc Andrews, whose hilarious confession of his ‘meat fetish’ leads to earnest and horny testimonials from each of the participants,” said a rep. “The first scene starts out as an anonymous bump in the dark of a local bathhouse, leading to a threeway that pulls out every stop and climaxes in a double penetration and facial bukkake.”

zBUCKz CEO Danny Zeeman enthused about the series.

“With a fun and cheeky storyline about recovering cockaholics, this series is just the escapism we all need this summer,” he said. “Featuring some of the hottest sex we’ve ever filmed with our PeterFever fan favorites, the sex is real, raw, unstaged, and authentic.”

Added Criss, “With tales of sucking, fucking, tea bagging, double penetration, cum eating, and more, you’ll be left wondering why they want to overcome their so-called addictions. Will the group meetings work, or will these sexual degenerates realize it’s more fun to continue with their wanton Cockaholic ways?”

The series is streaming on PeterFever.

Legendary Director Paul Thomas Passes Away at 76

LOS ANGELES — Legendary adult filmmaker Paul Thomas has passed away after spending most of his life in the porn business. He was 76.

Raised in Winnetka, Illinois, Thomas spent nearly 25 years directing for Vivid Entertainment, where he championed storytelling and won numerous industry awards for his efforts. Known to friends and colleagues as P.T., he helped define Vivid’s brand and identity and played a key role in establishing its early success.

Prior to joining the adult industry, Thomas was a gifted basketball player and an accomplished actor who appeared in the original production of the musical “Hair” in the late 1960s. He went on to appear in a Broadway production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” and played all the male roles except for Peter in a touring production of the musical, before being cast as Peter in the 1973 film adaptation from director Norman Jewison. Thomas also appeared on stage in the long-running musical “Beach Blanket Babylon.”

Thomas broke into the adult industry right around the same time, when he was just 24 years old. He went on to star in nearly 900 adult films between 1974 and 1986, after which he directed nearly 400 other films for companies ranging from Hustler, Metro and Dorcel to Fantasy Home Video, Las Vegas Video, Western Visuals, New Sensations and Coast to Coast.

Thomas’ career highlights as a director include “Beauty & the Beast 2” (1990), “Twisted” (1991), “Justine” (1994), “Bad Wives” (1997), “Bobby Sox” (1997), “Fade to Black” (2002), “Heart of Darkness” (2004), “Key Party” (2005), “The Masseuse” (2005), “The New Devil in Miss Jones” (2006) and “Layout” (2008).

In 2007, Thomas’ name was enshrined among other porn legends on the Hustler Hollywood Walk of Fame on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

In 2008, Thomas won the XBIZ Award for Achievement in Movie Production and was nominated for Feature Director of the Year. He received two more nominations the following year for “Cry Wolf” and his overall body of work, and two additional nods in 2012 for “Savanna Samson Is the Masseuse.” Thomas earned his final directing nomination for the 2013 feature “Friends With Benefits.”

As a performer, Thomas was named Best Actor by the Adult Film Association of America for his performance in 1983’s “Virginia.” After being inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame in 1986, Thomas was named Director of the Year at the XRCO Awards in 1994 and 2000, and nominated for the same award in 1999 and 2008.

“Awards are cool, and I’ve won a lot of them, but I don’t think about them anymore,” Thomas told XBIZ in 2007 while discussing his approach to filmmaking.

Thomas was the last adult director to shoot on film and retired from the industry in 2012, just a few years after stepping away from Vivid, which he originally joined from VCA Pictures.

“I think the same rules apply to porno as to any art form,” Thomas previously told XBIZ. “If an art form — a gonzo flick or, God forbid, a Picasso painting — has that feeling of heart and originality, and the person who did it was in the moment, you notice it. It’s all about whether or not you can feel authenticity in the work.”

Tommy Gunn spoke to XBIZ about his long history of working with Thomas.

“Paul was such a great man, and I have nothing but great memories of working with him, which was always special,” Gunn told XBIZ. “He was always so kind and supportive when directing me, and if I wasn’t giving him what he wanted, he always took the time to suggest little adjustments regarding my performance. I definitely cherished those moments and had some of the most memorable moments of my career working with Paul. It’s a sad day today. The industry has, indeed, lost a legend, and it’s definitely the end of an era.”

Mike Quasar also spoke to XBIZ and paid tribute to Thomas.

“I don’t remember exactly how I came to be a production assistant for P.T., but I do vividly remember thinking that he was one of the coolest people I’d ever met,” said Quasar. “I had only been in the industry a few years, and I learned so much from working on his sets. He really was a filmmaker. He didn’t try to direct sex. He just assumed if you were in the industry, you must know how to do it. I adopted that same attitude as I worked my way up to being a director myself.

“One of my favorite things that I vividly remember him telling me once was, ‘Michael, you’re very funny and everyone loves it when you make jokes on set. Now shut the fuck up. It’s time to work.’

“Some of my fondest memories are of that era and of being around guys like him and Henri Pachard,” added Quasar. “Porn was fun and creative and it felt like we were a part of a secret society. I know it’s what all the old people say, but it truly was a better time. P.T. will be missed.”

Thomas is survived by his wife, Judy.
