Heritage Foundation President Calls Trump God’s ‘Imperfect Instrument’ to Achieve Porn Ban

WASHINGTON — The president of the Heritage Foundation, the conservative group behind Project 2025, told CNN that Donald Trump’s notorious interactions with porn stars do not disqualify the presumptive Republican nominee from implementing their plan to criminalize all the production and distribution of adult content.

“We understand Our Lord works with imperfect instruments, including us,” Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts told CNN last week. “While on the surface it seems like a contradiction, on the whole, it may make him a more powerful messenger if he embraces it.”

The quote is part of a lengthy report by CNN’s Steve Contorno about Trump’s attitudes to his staunch anti-porn allies and supporters, in the context of the current trial over the source of the funds he allegedly used to hush up his sexual encounter with adult performer Stormy Daniels.

“If some of the former president’s allies get their way,” Contorno wrote, “a second Trump term would put that industry on the ropes – and potentially its actors and producers behind bars.”

The CNN report also quotes second-generation staunch anti-porn crusader Terry Schilling, the president of American Principles Project, who thinks a second Trump administration would be “a very good opportunity” to embrace their agenda.

As XBIZ reported, Schilling has been bragging for years that his group is behind the current Republican-led book-banning movement, and that his goal was to purge what he calls “pornography” from libraries.

Last July, Schilling also took credit for the current slew of age verification laws passed in recent months by several states.

And in September, he told a right-wing site that the ultimate aim of the state age verification laws is to create a private right of action, so that parents could directly sue online companies if their children are able to access adult content. He has admitted the state laws are experiments so that the next Republican U.S. attorney general can prosecute anyone uploading adult content that could be accessed by a minor.

The Heritage Foundation’s Roberts told CNN he hasn’t discussed the topic of a porn ban directly with Trump, “but he has talked to the campaign and said there is alignment among those who have policy influence, including Ben Carson, the former secretary of Housing and Urban Development.”

Turning Points USA founder Charlie Kirk, the article notes, “has also made curbing pornography a recurring focus of his popular podcast.”

“Without being presumptuous of the president’s will, there will at least be conversations” about a porn ban “being a priority we can tackle,” Roberts added.

A Trump campaign spokesperson tried to downplay to CNN the role of Heritage Foundation, Project 2025 and American Principle Projects in a future Trump administration by quoting a past statement from its top advisers, Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles.

“Let us be very specific here: unless a message is coming directly from President Trump or an authorized member of his campaign team, no aspect of future presidential staffing or policy announcements should be deemed official,” LaCivita and Wiles said.

Earlier this month, John McEntee, senior advisor to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 and a former key figure in the first Trump administration, predicted an eventual full ban on pornography, claiming that once it is enacted, “this country will flourish.”

McEntee told a podcaster that pornography is “the elephant in the room, which is a stain on not only society but the entire dating culture as well”

“Whenever America bans that, which will be happening at some point, everyone will be much better off,” the Project 2025 senior advisor proclaimed.

The introduction to Project 2025’s “Mandate for Leadership” blueprint document declares that pornography “has no claim to First Amendment protection” and should be outlawed.

California Republicans, Democrats Send Controversial Age Verification Bill to Senate

SACRAMENTO — The California version of the age verification bills being sponsored around the country by anti-porn activists unanimously passed a bipartisan floor vote at the state Assembly on Thursday and is now being considered by the state Senate.

As XBIZ reported, AB 3080 was introduced by Republican Assemblymember Juan Alanis, a former police officer from Modesto, and would require all adult websites to take “reasonable steps” to ensure that only adults are viewing them.

Alanis told the Assembly that the bill aimed to “protect children.”

“We know there are serious negative effects on young people who are exposed to this type of material, who regularly consume it, and who become addicted to it at far too young of an age,” Alanis alleged.

According to Modesto-area news reports, when presented with privacy and free speech concerns, Alanis “pointed to the most recent decision from the Supreme Court denying an emergency stay against a much broader and restrictive Texas age-verification law, which was recently upheld by the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.”

The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, a notoriously conservative court which has been rebuked by the highest tribunal for eccentric, politicized positions, has no jurisdiction over California. The U.S. Supreme Court has not yet decided whether it will weigh in on the text of the Texas law.

A California-Flavored Age Verification Bill

“I understand that California is different from other states, and may not benefit from a one-size-fits all legislation,” Alanis also told the Assembly. “I believe California requires its own approach which upholds our values and diversity. That is why I have promised my colleagues to continue working on this bill to ensure protections for the LGBTQ+ community and will work to further address privacy concerns.”

According to local press reports, Alanis “has pledged to continue working in good faith with opposition groups in an attempt to craft a final piece of legislation that is a good fit for California.”

“I am very serious about working with the opposition to find consensus if possible,” Alanis said at the time of the Assembly vote. “We will be holding serious working meetings with them as soon as next week. However, doing nothing on this issue and allowing the status quo to continue is unacceptable.”

Alanis also stated “that he has no desire to harm the adult entertainment industry or those who work in it.”

Free Speech Coalition (FSC) Executive Director Alison Boden told XBIZ the industry trade group held “constructive conversations” with Alanis.

“We hope that he will take seriously the data we have presented about the dangers of website-based age verification and its serious downstream harms to both children and adults,” Boden noted. “I have presented the Assemblymember with several proposals that would accomplish his stated goals — protecting children without harming the adult industry — and I look forward to continuing the dialogue. At this time, we remain in opposition to the bill and will mobilize against any further progression.”

Cumbersome and Invasive ID Requirements

As XBIZ reported, last month Boden testified before the California Assembly Judiciary Committee in opposition to AB 3080.

Boden told the legislators that Alanis’ bill will not survive judicial review and “is completely impractical for Californians to verify their age multiple times on individual websites rather than doing it once on their device.”

Boden also noted that in the 16 months that the current slew of age verification bills have been in effect in other states, we have learned that the methods available to verify one’s age online “are so cumbersome and invasive that consumers refuse to undergo the process. For example, verifying using government ID is so complicated that it took one reporter 52 steps to complete. Facial age estimation requires giving the entity conducting the verification access to your computer’s webcam or phone’s camera, which might be why fewer than 1% of users actually complete the process.”

Data shows that what users do instead, she added, is “hit the back button and find a site that doesn’t comply with the law.”

“We need to protect children online, not send adults to dangerous websites with illegal content,” she concluded.

Glamour Names ‘Überlube’ Best Overal Personal Lubricant

Glamour Names 'Überlube' Best Overal Personal Lubricant

LOS ANGELES — Glamour Magazine has named Überlube the best overall personal lubricant.

In an article written by Malia Griggs, Jake Henry Smith and Amanda Chatel, Überlube its top pick out of eight sampled lubricants.

“Überlube is a best-in-show lube,” said Good Vibrations sexpert Carol Queen, PhD in the article. “You can use it with most condoms, it’s unscented, and, though it feels smooth and slippery, it never, ever gets sticky. Überlube’s formula is designed to heighten sensation while reducing friction, and it’s also long-lasting and thick enough to use as an anal lube with vitamin E that moisturizes, to boot.

“You can even use it to reduce chafing from clothing when working out,” Queen added.

Biird, Jouissance Club Partner for ‘Boo’ and ‘Bae’ Silicone Dildos

Biird, Jouissance Club Partner for 'Boo' and 'Bae' Silicone Dildos

LOS ANGELES — Biird and Jouissance Club have teamed up for two new silicone dildos, Boo and Bae.

Boo features an insertable part that is wider than usual and Bae has a more slender but longer body.

These particular characteristics, a rep explained, allow for two very distinct pleasure experiences. Boo was designed to enjoy a wider, fuller penetration without the typical length that usually comes with a larger size dildo, providing “broader stimulation of the clitoral bulbs while avoiding any discomfort to the cervix.”

Bae is “crafted for a deeper penetration without all too much width, making it perfect for those looking for depth without the stretch,” the rep added. “This makes Bae excellently suited for anal play as well.”

Jouissance Club’s Jüne Plã said, “The concept for Boo and Bae stemmed from my search for the perfect dildos. Despite having a sizable collection, I couldn’t find any that met my needs. It struck me that perhaps only men were behind the designs, resulting in either the perfect width but excessive length or the right length but too thin. It became clear: I needed to address this oversight.”

Crafted from Biird’s ultra soft medical-grade silicone and hand finished in ansplash pattern, both pleasure items come with their own velvet pouch with a Jouissance Club pattern embroidered as well as a Jouissance Club key chain.
