TAMPA, Fla. — Kelly Johnson has joined the writing staff of NightMoves Magazine, where she’ll pen a monthly column called “Be a Better Entertainer 101.”
Johnson spent 18 years as an adult entertainer, and after retiring from the stage, she was named Employee of the Year by ED Publications. She currently runs Pony Gentlemen’s Club in Mississippi.
“I’d like to thank Jerry Westlund, Stephanie Wilbanks, and all the people who have helped me along the way,” said Johnson. “I am honored to write a monthly column in NightMoves.”

LOS ANGELES — Cubbi Thompson was named Best New Performer at the 2026 XMA Awards.
“I’ve been working hard and taking acting classes, but I never imagined I would win this award,” said Thompson. “It’s truly an honor to be nominated for it. I’m so grateful to XBIZ, everyone on my team, and of course, the Cub Cult. I was in shock when I accepted the award, and I still am, but I’m so very grateful to have such an amazing job working with incredible performers, directors, and studios.”

LOS ANGELES — Derek Kage took home two statues at the 2026 XMA Awards, where he was named Gay Performer of the Year for the third year in a row.
Kage also won Best Sex Scene — Career-First Performance for “Charlotte Sins: First Gangbang” from SX Originals/Adult Time.
“It was an incredible night,” said Kage. “I was so overcome to win Gay Performer of the Year for a third time, and to also win for Charlotte’s gangbang. I love the industry, and this is just the cherry on top. Thank you, XBIZ.”

LOS ANGELES — Ariel Demure took home two statues at the 2026 XMA Awards, where she was named Trans Performer of the Year for the second year in a row.
Demure also won Best Sex Scene — Trans for “Trans Orgy” from Gender X Films. Additionally, Demure starred in Gender X’s “Transpirella,” which won Best Trans Movie. Director Jim Powers accepted the XMA Award on behalf of the film’s cast and crew.
“Wow, what an incredible night,” said Demure. “I was thrilled Jim Powers took home the trophy for ‘Transpirella’ because he put his soul into it, and I had an amazing time playing the character. Thank you, XBIZ, for recognizing me again and giving me Trans Performer of the Year and Best Sex Scene — Trans. It’s an honor how well you treat the trans community.”

LOS ANGELES — Ricky Greenwood won two top prizes at the 2026 XMA Awards, where his cast and crews were also honored throughout the evening.
Greenwood won Director of the Year — Body of Work (Narrative), while his Digital Playground feature “Deadly Vows” was named Best Picture.
Additionally, “Deadly Vows” star Ryan Reid won Best Lead Actor, and two scenes that Greenwood directed were also honored with awards — Digital Playground’s “The Holdup” won Best Sex Scene — Comedy Movie, and Parasited’s “The Parasite Queen” won Best Sex Scene — Orgy/Group (Male-Led).
Meanwhile, Greenwood’s crews celebrated several awards, as Shawn Alff won Best Screenplay again for Dorcel’s “Strip,” and Andy Appleton and Kylie Ireland won Best Art Direction for “Deadly Vows,” which also brought Boris Dongson, Steve McQueef, and Mz Montage the XMA Award for Best Editing.
“I was thrilled to win Best Picture and Director of the Year again,” said Greenwood. “I really didn’t think I would, as all my projects this year were passion projects, which is rewarding, but awards don’t always follow. I’m honored that XBIZ chose to give me these two awards and recognize my cast and crews.”

LOS ANGELES — Publicist Erika Icon, owner of The Rub PR, was named WIA Woman of the Year at the online edition of the 2026 XBIZ Honors.
“Most of my wins are on screen, and I didn’t think I’d win,” said Icon. “Halfway through, I forgot my speech. But I’ve been in the industry for 20 years, and I’m so thankful for the recognition. As a publicist or any behind-the-scenes person, people forget how much you do for them, so it’s amazing to be recognized. And I’ve always wanted an XBIZ Award, which I can now take off my bucket list.”
LOS ANGELES — Violet Myers was named Fav Female Star at the 2026 XMA Awards, which she co-hosted with Kazumi.
“It was a big night, and I conquered my fear of stage fright,” said Myers. “Everything just flowed, and it was a magical night. Now, I want to make hosting something I do more often. Thank you, XBIZ, for the opportunity and the award.”

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Pearl Industry Network (PiN), a new trade group for the adult industry focused on content creators, will debut at Taboo Vancouver adult lifestyle and wellness expo next week.
According to a rep, PiN will unveil tools focused on verification, healthcare access, and professional safety for Canadian and U.S. adult content creators and sex workers.
“PiN will exhibit at the event, introducing services designed to address systemic gaps that have historically limited access to testing, healthcare, and trusted collaboration in Canada/U.S.,” the rep said.
The central service the group will launch is TrustLink, a platform that enables creators to verify their identities and selectively share credentials with other verified users at no cost.
“Our focus is building real infrastructure that creators can rely on,” said PiN’s BullBossJosh. “TrustLink is about authenticity, safety, and control.”
Other initiatives the group is launching are a partnership with ProDx Health to offer Pro13 take-home STI testing kits at the convention, a three-tier healthcare framework in Canada, and secured partnerships with accountants experienced in working with sex workers and content creators.
