Brittany Wilson of Split Peaches, The Dungeon Store Returns to ‘Rocket Review’

LOS ANGELES — Brittany Wilson, brand manager for Split Peaches and The Dungeon Store, has returned to “The Rocket Review” podcast, hosted by Rob “Rocket” Arnegard, for “a Pride-themed show-and-tell.”

Wilson brought out some of her available toys to demonstrate their capabilities.

“We’ve seen the horns,” Wilson began. “I just want to remind everyone, they come in rainbow [colors]; the Rivetor does too, as does the Screw You.”

Wilson also brought out larger sizes of toys. “So, a reminder, all of these, big, masculine shapes — Rivetors and Screws, come in fun, whimsical colors of the rainbow.” (“I’ve gotta have a rainbow screw,” the host exclaimed.)

She also displayed the Rainbow Enforcer, a colorful baseball bat, from the Dungeon Store.

“So, we’ve carried this for years,” she noted. “But I always like to bring it out in Pride, because it’s a weighted rainbow bat, but it’s foam padded. It swings hard, hits hard, but it’s still foam and squishy. It’s a deep kind of a ‘thud’ impact.”

The host enthused about the neoprene rainbow pride flogger.

“This is a heavy rubber flogger… It is remarkably well-balanced, and very comfortable in the grip. If you wanna get that baseball bat swing in there, you’ve got room to get [two hands] on there… It was great.”

“This is not for the entry level submissive,” he added. “This is not for the beginner. This is for someone who has skill in throwing a flogger and someone who is intermediate-to-advanced. The rubber has a smack to it; it’s very thuddy. I would suggest swinging lightly and building up slowly… It packs well. I’ve packed it three-to-four different times. It’s been on three different trips.”

MIAMI — Newcomer Roxie Sinner is the center of a new “carnal confession” scene for DickDrainers.com.

As the action opens, costar and DickDrainers principal Branden Richards has been watching the starlet every morning and wants to confess the sinful thoughts he’s had about her. He decides to approach her and make his move.

“For someone who just started shooting, Roxie is an absolute natural,” Richards said. “She’s got tons of energy and tons of skill. The fans were ready for this one to drop as soon as they found out the two of us had shot because they knew we would bring some heat, and we definitely did.”

Sinner also enjoyed her first experience with the studio.

“Working with Branden was great. He’s a chill and laid-back person, so it’s really easy to get along with him. Our scene went great — and it was my first really rough scene and I loved it. He took care of me before and after shooting and made sure I had what I needed. Definitely working with him again.”

Yoshi Kawasaki Celebrates 1st Paysite Anniversary

Yoshi Kawasaki Celebrates 1st Paysite Anniversary

TOKYO — The Zbuckz network is touting the one-year anniversary of the launch of fetish star Yoshi Kawasaki’s hardcore kink paysite with extra uploads throughout July and a 50% discount on new memberships.

Daniel Zeeman, CEO of Zbuckz and parent company WebMediaProz, noted the growth of Kawasaki’s site has been “remarkable” and praised the performer’s “inventiveness and willingness to take risks.”

“Since 2003, when we launched our first membership site, Japanboyz.com, and later purchased PeterFever.com — which has won industry awards every year since we took it over — we have been very invested in creating an ecosystem featuring the best gay Asian and Japanese content,” Zeeman said.

“That’s why we were beyond excited last year when Yoshi came to us seeking web representation. With a killer brand and unique and artistic content, plus his very sexy looks, we were thrilled and honored for the opportunity to help take Yoshi to the next level in his career,” added Zeeman. “Expect very big things to come.”

A rep noted Kawasaki “returned to his homeland Japan after years in California and the U.K., where he honed his early interest in BDSM manga porn into his dream career as a porn actor. Young and eager, the muscular, pierced and tatted performer embodies the powerful erotic masculinity of his idol, legendary manga creator Gengoroh Tagame.”

“He adds a traditional Asian and ritualistic side to the online gay fetish world,” added the rep. Most recently, Kawasaki earned a 2021 Grabbys Europe Award for “Best Fetish Porn Star.”

‘We Were Duped’: Shameless Self-Promoting Adult Industry Figures React to Ninja Thyberg’s ‘Pleasure’

LOS ANGELES — The distributor of “Pleasure,” Swedish director Ninja Thyberg’s mainstream movie set in the porn industry which debuted digitally at Sundance earlier this year, held a screening yesterday in Hollywood for “cast and crew,” including several prominent adult industry actors and directors who agreed to help with the project.

After the screening director, producer and model Lance Hart tweeted “I got asked to be in a movie about porn. I said I wouldn’t do it if it made us look bad. I was promised it wouldn’t, I was just playing one bad guy. It got bought by A24 and went to Sundance. I just watched it, and the central plot was a cheap shot making us look bad”

“I know how hard it is to make and edit a movie,” he added. “Things don’t always go as planned, but the whole take away of the movie is basically ‘you’ll get really fucked up if you do porn.’ Meanwhile my wife, friends and I are thriving emotionally and financially in our industry.”

Acclaimed director and Gamma creative director Axel Braun tweeted that “we all got duped into helping her [Thyberg] make a movie that would have never happened without our support. But hey, ‘Pleasure’ was a hit at Sundance and Ninja Thyberg got signed by CAA.”

“I was promised the same,” Braun replied to Hart about Thyberg’s commitment to treat the industry fairly. “Instead we got a shock value cautionary tale showcasing in great detail the negative side of our industry and zero of the positive. I’m very disappointed to say that while ‘Pleasure’ may be morbidly entertaining to watch, Ninja Thyberg has failed us.”

Concern Over Director’s Past as ‘Anti-Porn Activist’ Resurfaces

“Pleasure” was shot over two years ago in the San Fernando Valley, with involvement of several people connected to the Spiegler Agency — including Mark Spiegler himself, who appears in the film — and prominent industry names such as Hart, Braun, Small Hands, Casey Calvert, and others.

There had been concern among industry figures about “Pleasure” due to the fact that during the Sundance promotion, Thyberg had started mentioning that the movie was part of her “journey” from being “an anti-porn activist” to realizing models and others in the adult industry were people too.

Earlier this week, XBIZ repeatedly asked the distributor, indie mainstream powerhouse A24, for a screener copy of the film or to be able to attend yesterday’s screening and a Q&A by Thyberg.

While constantly insisting that they were “very interested in what the industry press had to say about “Pleasure,” A24 adamantly refused to allow XBIZ to see the film at this point, even thought mainstream reviewers were invited to the Sundance screening by the producers and wrote stigmatizing statements about the whole industry in their reviews.

“Yes, the movie was shown at Sundance, but now A24 has ‘locked it down’ for the time being for press,” XBIZ was told.

But Variety’s Owen Gleiberman, one of the country’s top critics, reviewed “Pleasure” at Sundance and thought the film endorsed a generalizing, deeply stigmatizing view that “the real paradigm shift in porn — it’s one that underlies a spiritual shift in the culture — is how extreme so much of it has become. Simply put: In porn, extreme is the new normal. I’m not just talking about the rise of fetish porn, the prominence of B&D and other “categories” that were once relegated to the sidelines. I’m talking about the “rough” vibe that now courses through so much online pornography, and how it has turned porn into an increasingly dark arena for acting out a kind of ritualized, eroticized aggression. Porn used to depict, more or less, what was known as vanilla sex. Now, to put it bluntly, more and more of it is about hate-fucking.”

“I make a point of this only because that’s the world that Ninja Thyberg has made a movie about with ‘Pleasure,’” Gleiberman added.

When asked about Thyberg’s background as a self-defined former “anti-porn activist” in Sweden, someone close to the production told XBIZ that the director’s statements about social and cultural issues “sometimes get lost in translation.”

Sweden is the country where the Nordic Model of criminalizing sex work (i.e., shutting down the sex workers’ source of income) originates and is openly spoused by supposed progressives. Other supposedly progressive Swedish figures regularly lambast “the mainstream porn industry” with outdated stereotypes and generalizations.

XBIZ will continue to attempt to view the film and to interview Ninja Thyberg about her background and “Pleasure.”
