SEATTLE — Cybersocket, Inc. has concluded an agreement with NSFW.Army for the purchase of all Cybersocket sites, products, brands and intellectual property.

Today’s announcement follows the recent acquisition of Fleshbot.com by NSFW.Army, the team behind Cherry Pimps.

“Being one of the caretakers of Cybersocket and being heavily involved in the LGBT adult digital and print space for 25 years has been a true privilege,” Co-Founder Morgan Sommer said. “[Co-Founder] Tim Lutz and I have both reached places in life where we feel that it’s time to allow Cybersocket to grow in new ways and under new leadership. One of the hardest things to do as an entrepreneur is to recognize when you are what is holding your company back from reaching its potential.”

“We feel confident that the team at NSFW.Army has a vision, the resources and the knowledge to take what we have built and make it even better,” he concluded.

A rep noted Cybersocket and all related properties will receive “a thorough redesign and complete refresh.”

Industry vet Theresa “Darklady” Reed has been “contracted as Channel Manager of the site and related properties,” the rep said. “Any past or present Cybersocket partners are asked to reach out if they have not been contacted yet to see how partnered companies can continue working together.”

NSFW.Army principal Eric praised Cybersocket’s legacy; the brand celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2022.

“When we began reviewing available opportunities, Cybersocket was the type of brand you just can’t pass on,” he said. “Being an icon in the LGBT community for so long enables us to continue and broaden our expansion while paying homage to the brand that Morgan and Tim spent years creating.”

WOW Tech created the market for Pleasure Air Technology stimulation devices with innovative technology that is covered by a worldwide portfolio of patents.   

We are aware that some competitors from time-to-time tout having one or more patents for technology they use in some of their products. We urge retailers and distributors to recognize this does not mean the competitor is not infringing WOW Tech patents. Patents by their nature have different scopes but can also overlap in certain ways, making it possible for a product covered by one patent to also infringe another patent. Indeed, when the Patent Office issues a new patent, it does not consider whether or not existing commercial products covered by that patent also infringe other patents. This means the issuance of a new patent is not any kind of guarantee that a company’s product does not infringe another patent. 

We take patent infringement seriously and we are committed to holding patent infringers responsible for violating our valuable intellectual property rights. Anyone who makes, uses, sells, offers for sale or imports products that infringe one or more of WOW Tech’s patents could be held liable for patent infringement, regardless of whether those infringing products are also covered by other patents. 

Retailers and distributors who are told that a product does not infringe one company’s patents may therefore be better served by seeking written assurance and maybe even indemnification from the company claiming innocence. The fact that an accused infringer has its own separate patent does not mean that accused infringer (or its retailers or distributors) cannot be found liable for infringing another company’s patents.

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Adam & Eve has released their latest statistics on adult content viewing.

The web-based survey of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, conducted by an independent third party survey company, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.

When asked if they ever view adult content, 57% of the respondents (68% of men and 48% of women) said they did.

“Many people view adult content, both on their own or with their partner,” said Dr. Jenni Skyler, resident sexologist at Adam & Eve. “Watching alone can be a way to access easy arousal, while couples may watch together to share fantasies and create more intimacy. The content, as well as the length of viewing, differs from person to person. I believe what’s most important is that viewers feel they are in a healthy relationship with their adult content.” 

Chad Davis, director of marketing for Adam & Eve, said the company “encourages adults to explore their sexuality within their own comfort levels and boundaries.”
