Michigan Man Admits to 2021 Terror Campaign to Ban ‘Immoral Content’

BAY CITY, Mich. — John Douglas Allen admitted in court on Monday to a 2021 campaign of threats of violence, including domestic terrorism such as planting bombs, against telecommunications companies that he blamed for “broadcasting pornography, cursing and immoral content.”

The 76-year-old Allen, described in the press as “a retired miner,” was arrested by the FBI in September 2021 following an investigation into the bomb threats. Federal prosecutors charged Allen with “extortion and attempting to destroy a building and accused him of leaving pipe bombs and threatening letters in locations across northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula,” the Detroit News reported at the time.

Allen appeared on Monday before U.S. District Magistrate Judge Patricia T. Morris at the federal courthouse in Bay City. According to news site Michigan Live, Allen “pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted destruction of a building and one count of attempted interference with commerce by extortion.”

The destruction charge “carries a mandatory minimum five-year prison sentence that can be extended up to 20 years, while the latter is a 20-year felony,” the report explained, adding that “prosecutors are recommending Allen serve his eventual sentences concurrently.”

Fully Functional Bombs Against ‘Immoral Content’

As part of his plea agreement, Allen admitted that on Aug. 24, 2021 he “drove a van bearing a California license plate from his Iosco County home north into the Upper Peninsula. He then placed polka-dot envelopes containing threatening letters on at least three cellphone towers.”

The letters demanded that “immoral content” such as pornography “no longer be on the internet.” Allen signed the bizarre letters as being from a supposed anti-porn group called “Coalition for Moral Communications” which the letters claimed the group had members in 27 states, and addressed them to “AT&T, Verizon, and all other carriers.”

Allen also demanded the telecom giants pay $5 million, with instructions forthcoming in future letters, or else he would destroy the companies’ cell towers.

The plea includes Allen’s admission that “in furtherance of this threatened extortion,” he made two crude pipe bombs at his home.

“They were fully functional and contained shrapnel,” the plea agreement admitted.

On Sept. 15, Allen “drove his van — again, with the California license plate — to Sault Ste. Marie. Around 7:30 p.m., he placed one of his makeshift bombs at an AT&T store within the city,” Michigan Live reported. “He then headed back south over the Mackinac Bridge and about 10:10 p.m. placed his second bomb in front of a Verizon store in Cheboygan.”

Both bombs “were placed in cardboard United States Postal Service boxes that had ‘CMT’ written on them and contained handcuffs. Both boxes also bore writing indicating this was the ‘last warning’ and that the next incident would be during business hours.”

Year-Long Plot to ‘Remove Internet Porn’ by Violence

Allen told agents upon his arrest on Sept. 20, 2021 that “he had penned three or four letters, signed them as the Coalition for Moral Telecommunications, and left them at cell towers in the Upper Peninsula,” Michigan Live reported. Allen also admitted to placing the two pipe bombs and “told agents he bought the bombs’ components about a year prior at various hardware stores. He spent a year building up his courage to place the destructive devices, he told agents.”

Eastern District of Michigan U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison noted at Monday’s hearing that “the actions of this defendant could have resulted in significant bodily harm or death to citizens in the area. Thanks to the hard work of our law enforcement partners and prosecutors, we were able to find and remove these dangerous devices before the defendant could cause serious harm.”

Allen’s sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 9.

Wicked Unveils Finale of James Avalon’s Noir Homage ‘Dark Is the Night’

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures has released the conclusion to writer/director James Avalon’s Wicked Noir feature, “Dark Is The Night.”

Produced by Axel Braun, the new sequence showcases Kenna James and Seth Gamble, who co-star in the feature alongside Kiara Cole and Nathan Bronson.

Braun, Wicked’s head of production, described “Dark Is The Night” as “a true love letter to the film noir genre. In my opinion it’s James Avalon’s masterpiece. We are not just looking at an adult movie anymore; this is a feature with so much emotional power and such a level of cinematic skill that it would easily rival many mainstream movies you see on Netflix today.

“The cinematography, the set design, the acting — I couldn’t be more proud of Seth, Kenna, Nathan, Kiara and everybody in the crew, because they all came together as a team to help realize the director’s ambitious vision,” Braun said.

Avalon’s moody, tightly-plotted psychodrama follows a bored housewife (James) as she uses her arcane skills and feral sexuality to explore the troubled mind of a mysterious man (Gamble) to whom she has rented a room. On the surface, this enigmatic stranger appears to be the ideal new tenant. He’s soft-spoken and charming — everything her loutish, insensitive husband (Nathan Bronson) isn’t.

The newly released conclusion features James and Gamble in the climatic sex scene.

“It was a big day, and we covered a lot of ground, from dialogue and transitional material to the sex,” Avalon said of the production’s finale. “But there was never any doubt that we would not only succeed, but surpass expectations, as the actors were extremely prepared — Seth and Kenna both had very precise notes and thoughts about their characters.

“They really are the top actors in the industry and they were perfect for this type of feature,” Avalon added.

Avalon also singled out industry veteran Kylie Ireland, who served as art director on the feature, as a contributor to the success of the final act.

“As often happens, we had to switch out some locations just before filming began,” the director offered. “But Kylie worked wonders to make locations match. Her art direction for this project was flawless, and as a result some scenes that could have posed challenges in the editing room cut together seamlessly.”

Leading man Gamble offered his thanks Braun for “allowing us the opportunity to express ourselves so openly in all the films he produces. I truly believe ‘Dark Is The Night’ is one of the best projects I’ve ever had the fortune of doing, and I’m very grateful to have a friend and colleague like James Avalon. It was an honor to help him bring this to life.”

The conclusion of “Dark Is The Night” premieres today exclusively on wicked.com.

LOS ANGELES — Vixen Media Group has crowned its newest Vixen Angels, Jia Lissa and Liya Silver, marking the company’s first double-crowning and first international crowning.

Lissa, the 2020 XBIZ Europas Female Performer of the Year, made her first appearance with Vixen, in 2018, and has performed several career firsts across the company’s network of brands, including Blacked and Tushy.

“In 2021, the starlet propelled herself into her first-ever series, ‘Jia,’ a VMG four-part crossover showcase,” noted a rep. “The piece highlights luxury international locations with scenes on Vixen, Blacked and Tushy.”

Lissa is also a singer and songwriter, and her track, “Between the Noises,” produced by Romero Mralien, is featured on the soundtrack to her Vixen Angel promotional video.

“I’m so happy to be a part of the Vixen family. It was one of my biggest dreams to become a Vixen Angel,” Lissa said. “When the moment of the announcement came, I felt so overwhelmed that my eyes just filled with tears. It was a surreal experience that I will never forget.”

Silver also shot her very first scene with VMG, in 2018 for Tushy, and “has taken the adult entertainment industry by storm ever since,” the rep noted. Around the globe, Liya has filmed for VMG’s portfolio of brands — Vixen, Blacked, Tushy, Blacked Raw and Tushy Raw — in a variety of prestigious destinations, including the French Alps where the veteran skier had the opportunity to show off her skills on the slopes in the XBIZ Award-winning scene “Après Ski” for Tushy.

“I’m very grateful to Vixen for the opportunity to explore my creativity,” said Silver. “And the Vixen Angel necklace around my neck solidifies that I’m doing it with the best team possible.”

The double crowning “not only celebrates Jia and Liya’s individual achievements, but celebrates their longstanding friendship, as they both started their adult careers together exclusively with VMG,” the rep said. “Having traveled the world together to the most sought-after destinations, the pair have a special bond and natural chemistry that lights up the screen.”

The duo have filmed together several times, including scenes together for Vixen and Blacked.

Director Julia Grandi added she is “incredibly” proud of the women.

“Not one, but two of my longtime favorite models have been crowned as Vixen Angels — a success we could have only dreamt of, back when we shot their first scenes,” she said.

The announcement was presented in Ibiza by Vixen Angels Vicki Chase, Gianna Dior and recently-announced Angel Allie Nicole, “alongside European talent, crew and company leadership to celebrate and welcome the two new Angels,” the rep said.

Russian Prosecutors Appeal Artist’s Acquittal for Posting ‘Pornographic’ Abstract Drawings Online

Russian Prosecutors Appeal Artist's Acquittal for Posting 'Pornographic' Abstract Drawings Online

KOMSOMOLSK-ON-AMUR, Russia — Russian prosecutors in Siberia have reportedly appealed the acquittal of LGBTQ activist and artist Yulia Tsvetkova in a controversial case testing the country’s increasingly hostile laws regarding sexual expression.

As XBIZ reported, a court last week acquitted the 29-year-old artist of distributing “pornography” and “LGBT propaganda” after her arrest for posting drawings of female anatomy online. Tsvetkova faced up to six years in prison if convicted.

But according to a Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty report today, a group of Tsvetkova’s supporters notified the press of the Russian state’s appeal, and the artist’s mother wrote on Facebook that the prosecutors’ move “may prolong her daughter’s ordeal for years.”

“It is horrifying even to imagine how many more years of life and energy this senseless accusation can steal from Yulia,” Tsvetkova’s mother wrote.

The appeal will trigger “a new investigation into the case, as well as another trial, which could take two to three years to complete,” Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reported.

Tsvetkova was originally charged with “producing and distributing pornographic material for administering a social media page called ‘The Vagina Monologues.’”

The “pornographic material” in question was actually “abstract art resembling female genitalia.”

Will Pounder Stars in ‘Trust the Process’ From Pure Taboo

LAS VEGAS — Will Pounder headlines Anatomik Media’s “Trust the Process” from Pure Taboo.

The scenario is described as “a pervy twist on mainstream hits such as ‘Suspect’ and ‘Runaway Jury,'” noted a rep.

A the action opens, Sacha, the plaintiff in a jury trial, meets with her lawyer, Bill, while accompanied by her sibling, Linda (Vanna Bardot). “Both women are frustrated because the jury hasn’t reached a verdict yet,” the rep said. “Linda is confident that one particular juror, Juror 11 (Pounder), has been voting against the majority. Not only that, but he seems like a total sleazeball to her as well. Bill reminds them that they have to trust the legal process, then warns them that, despite their best efforts, they may still lose the case. Linda, refusing to let Sacha lose because of one juror’s ignorance, resolves to take matters into her own hands.”

Pounder praised his experience behind the scenes.

“This was a really good, fun scene to create and the end result is terrific,” he said. “Some nice acting in it all around — I’m proud of this one.”

“We are incredibly proud of the entire Love Not War range and everything we have been able to achieve in such a short space of time,” he continued.
