NerdPervert Star Craig Colson Reportedly Passes Away

NerdPervert Star Craig Colson Reportedly Passes Away

LONDON — The UK-based Dusk Films reports that Craig Colson, 31, a performer who made regular appearances for its Nerd Pervert brand, has passed away.

For six years, Colson played a shy, but lovable “third nerd” who was the childhood friend of director, producer and costar Paul Taylor; he first appeared in cameo roles before graduating to main character status.

“The minute I met him, I knew we had found our shy nerd and that the episodes I had been writing were a perfect fit for him,” Taylor told XBIZ. “He was a natural. It was thanks to the casting of Craig, and Chris Cummings later on, that made Nerd Pervert new again. The dynamic was really something to watch on camera.”

Colson recently filmed a group of episodes for a new series from Dusk Films focused on burglars who hook up with the women whose homes they are robbing.

“Craig really came into his own, leading the brand with his realistic and approachable personality that was really all just him; there was no acting,” said Taylor. “Over the years, he had taken time out, and the [last] time he never came back to set. It was normal for him to need time out for himself to reassess and reset. Working in the adult industry, sometimes we all need to just take time and live a normal life.”

It was during Colson’s most recent sabbatical when a loved one informed Dusk Films that Colson had passed.

“For three weeks, we were trying to reach him, but he was already gone,” said Chris Cummings. “We made a good team and always had a laugh on set, but people have their demons, even if you can’t see them from the outside.”

Taylor added that “a big sendoff, when the time is right” is planned for Colson’s character to honor the work the performer put into the Nerd Pervert series. “Right now, we are just remembering the good times, and thinking of his family at this hard time.”

XBIZ will update this story as warranted.

Cherie DeVille Discusses Crypto, NFTs on ‘The Damage Report’ Podcast

LOS ANGELES — Cherie DeVille was recently featured on “The Damage Report” podcast to discuss crypto, NFTs and personal finances with the show’s host, John Iadarola.

In the interview, DeVille describes how the pandemic caused those in the adult industry to look for new income opportunities.

“Cherie, who has long been an advocate for her fellow performers to invest in the future, noticed her mostly male friends investing in crypto and NFTs,” a rep said. “Cherie’s opinion on these new investment crazes is that these are pump-and-dump schemes that are a huge gamble. And with the recent crash of the crypto market, she  had a great point.”

DeVille also talked about her self-produced clip, titled “Tax Day,” that received a mainstream media boost with a plug from the New York Post.

“I was so excited to be invited by John Iadarola to appear on ‘The Damage Report,'” DeVille said. “I just want my fans and friends to take investing seriously and choose options that will set them up for the future, not something that is such a high risk.”

Logan Long Passes Away at 34

LOS ANGELES — Male performer Logan Long has passed away, according to industry friends and associates. He was 34.

Long started in the industry in 2016 and later became one of the main contract performer for websites such as Nympho, Swallowed, TrueAnal, AnalOnly and AllAnal.

According to his IAFD page, Long appeared in over 1,000 scenes during his seven-year career.

Before signing his contract deal, Long performed for other major studios such as Naughty America, Bang Bros, Brazzers, Reality Kings, Digital Playground, Wicked and many others.

A tall, slender performer with boyish looks into his 30s, Long once told interviewers he entered the industry after running two businesses and that he made the decision because he loved sex and “felt like getting paid for while I do it.”

“Logan will be deeply missed,” producer and performer Mike Adriano told XBIZ. “He was a fantastic performer and truly gifted at that. Not sure i’ll ever be able to collaborate with someone as good as he was.”

Adriano added that “it’s a sad day first and foremost for his family and close friends, but it’s also a sad day for porn and all the fans and viewers around the world. His contribution will be dearly missed.”

ASACP Returns to Columbia for LALExpo Business Conference

LOS ANGELES — ASACP and its executive director, Tim Henning, will return to LALExpo, set for June 12-15 at the Cartagena de Indias Convention Center in Bolivar, Colombia.

LALExpo is billed as “the definitive B2B trade event for Central and South American,” with a particular focus on digital media companies and service providers

Anthony Rivera, an organizer of the event, and co-founder of AJ Studios, explained how LALExpo provides a significant opportunity for ASACP to reach professional businesses operating in the Latin American and Spanish-speaking marketplaces.

“As a hub of the global camming community, Colombia is also making inroads into the broader digital media market. As such, LALExpo promotes excellence and responsibility among the companies making a living and supporting their families and themselves through technology,” Rivera said. “This is why we support ASACP and its mission to educate and professionalize the industry in the name of protecting children.”

Henning praised the positive relationship between ASACP and LALExpo.

“ASACP is pleased to support LALExpo,” he said. “The event and its promoters play a leading role in the fight against CSAM by helping educate operators about the need for legal compliance and the maintenance of industry protocols and safety standards to help avoid minors’ abuse and guarantee the rights of children and adolescents.

“LALExpo promotes awareness of child safety and doing business at the highest levels of safe and responsible operation throughout Latin America and beyond,” Henning continued. “One of ASACP’s valued sponsors, LALExpo, and its promoters take their advocacy of child safety seriously, such as through their support of ‘Fundacion Liam’ and other initiatives that go above and beyond and serve as an example for other organizations to follow.”

ASACP’s travel sponsor, DialXS, is underwriting Henning’s airfare.

“LALExpo’s continued support of the association sends a compelling message and helps establish its promoters among the upper echelon of industry leaders,” Henning said. “Through LALExpo’s generosity, ASACP can reach a much broader audience of frontline operators, providing them with the education and valuable free resources they need to help keep children out of and away from adult-oriented content.”

PWD Introduces New Ad Tech Platform PWDigital at XBIZ Miami

LOS ANGELES — Prestige Worldwide Digital (PWD) has unveiled its new ad tech platform PWDigital, which offers creators the possibility to embed engageable moments within video, at XBIZ Miami 2022.

“PWDigital’s patented technology allows for a new avenue for platforms, brands, content creators and influencers to reach and engage their audience like never before,” a rep said. “Developed by seasoned media and entertainment technology leaders and inventors, PWDigital represents a new era of social engagement through video.”

PWDigital offers “an innovative, in-video, contextually driven, frictionless acquisition experience for information, digital and physical goods, contextually driven advertising, user acquisition and more,” the rep explained. “By delivering the right ad in the right video at the right time for the right audience, creators will be able connect like never before.”

PWD’s patented technology is designed to enable content creators, owners, brands and retailers to engage with viewers across any device or screen in real time.

Ads are triggered throughout video playback via a Source Activated Moment (SAM), and appear as a discrete overlay in the video and are visible for a set of time before fading and letting the next SAM appear. A user can decide whether or not to interact with the SAM and if they do, the whole interaction takes place in video.

The technology “uses an immersive approach to interactive video to inspire brand loyalty organically through continuous, personalized engagement,” the rep added. “PWDigital also reduces audience drift while yielding nuanced measurements and substantially increased avenues for monetization.”

According to PWD’s Remi St-Maur, the patented technology “provides new types of engagement which allow a myriad new ways to monetize the video via brand placement, merchandise, or subscriptions sales. These engageable moments also can provide additional information, scenes and limited offers that most fans crave, but is not currently available within video content.”

PWDigital has already been introduced to mainstream publishers and content creators “and is gaining significant traction,” St-Maur continued. “We feel that the timing could not be better to introduce our technology to the adult industry via XBIZ Miami, one of the most highly respected and attended events for industry professionals.”

St-Maur emphasized that the technology “will encourage more content creators to own their own audiences and allow them to engage with that audience in a way that is not prevalent today, because it is not invasive and the engagable moments have the ability to be contextualized to the content and/or the specific audience, down to the individual viewer.”

“You don’t have to be a ‘tech person’ to incorporate what PWDigital is bringing to the table — which is more monetization opportunities, new fan engagement, a better user experience,” he concluded.

Interactive Life Forms Debuts DIY Program 'Fleshlight Pro'

AUSTIN, Texas — Interactive Life Forms, maker of the Fleshlight and Fleshjack brands, has introduced Fleshlight Pro, a program allowing streamers and content creators to make and sell Fleshlights based on their own anatomy.

A rep noted the program is open to both men and women; however, Fleshlight Pro is currently limited to molds of vulvas and butts.

Participants digitally upload age verification documents with photos of their anatomy. Approximately 10 business days later, their product/s will be available for purchase and the model will receive 15% of the sales price per unit, plus up to 30% commission on other Fleshlight product sales.

Additionally, the rep explained, by partnering with Fleshlight to add their models to the program and integrating Fleshlight Pro sales onto their models’ pages, webcam and creator platforms may earn 15% of the sales price per unit sold, plus 50% of the affiliate commission on other Fleshlight product sales.

“Over the years, hundreds of models have asked us to mold their anatomy,” Director of Marketing Daniel Harvell said. “Technology is finally at the point where we can meet that high demand and craft for virtually anyone a Fleshlight that looks just like them. With all of the mega-popular cam stars and content creators, there are exponentially more fans who would love to engage with them on a more intimate level.”
