LOS ANGELES — Pineapple Support is hosting two events this week at the XBIZ Show — a panel discussion and a meditative sound bath for performers.

The panel discussion, titled “Maintaining Healthy Boundaries,” will take place Wednesday, Jan. 11 at noon. Panelists “will discuss how to protect your physical, emotional, and online safety,” said a rep.

The sound bath is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 12 at noon, in the Kimpton Everly Hotel’s Nichols I ballroom. The Chaturbate-sponsored event will feature Pineapple Support therapist Jordan Wolan “using Tibetan bowls, gongs, and chimes to create a sound bath that promotes relaxation and healing,” the rep continued.

Pineapple Support CEO Leya Tanit noted, “We want to invite performers to join us in experiencing the healing benefits of sound waves, and to unwind and recharge after a few hectic days at XBIZ L.A.”

Tanit will also be participating in a “State of the Industry” discussion on Wednesday at 3 p.m.]

LOS ANGELES — Performer Robert Black is marking both his milestone 25th anniversary in adult as well as his 60th birthday in July this year.

Black made his adult debut in 1998 with Brush Creek Media’s “Leather Indulgence” and quickly earned a sterling rep with BDSM and leather titles for Zeus Studios, for whom he was named “1999 Zeusboy.” He soon picked up industry accolades, among them the 1999 Grabby Award for “Best Solo Scene.”

There is still some stigma; some people are still afraid to walk into a leather bar. But the leather community, my community, is mainstream now. I think the industry sees that. They see where the eyes are going.”

“The most ‘acting’ I ever did was in regular sex films,” he added. “I wasn’t necessarily into my partner or the sex we were having; it was acting. But if you see me in a BDSM movie, that’s me. And you can trust the authenticity, even if it’s not exactly your thing.”

NEW YORK — Agelust B2B, a new virtual menopause education program debuting in March, will teach sexual wellness industry manufacturers and retailers how to successfully integrate menopausal health into sales strategies, product development and consumer-facing communications.

The three-hour program’s syllabus includes physiology, psychosocial effects, ageism, “menowashing,” product development, retail techniques and a live Q&A with program creator and moderator Jessica Jolie Badonsky.

According to Badonsky, Agelust B2B offers “a modern framework on menopause education for industry leaders who are invested in understanding the relationship between sex, pleasure and menopause. Evidence-based insights and solutions are crucial in order to effectively nurture and guide the end user — and sales associates — toward informed decisions throughout the menopausal journey.”

A rep described Badonsky as “a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a certified provider through the North American Menopause Society. Since 2011, she has delivered sexual health education for hospital staff and patients throughout the Northeast. In 2012, Badonsky was asked to develop a curriculum on aging and sexuality for the New York Health Outreach senior learning program.”

Workshops are slated for March 5, 12, 19 and 28, and are reserved for one business per session. Curriculum will be tailored to the needs of each business. Between five and 14 seats are available per workshop.
