Ann Summers Introduces ‘The U’ Vibrator

Ann Summers Introduces 'The U' Vibrator

LONDON — Ann Summers has introduced the new The U vibrator, a device that’s designed “to cradle rather than penetrate.”

The veteran retailer — which came to prominence in the 1990s with the Rampant Rabbit toy — told the U.K.’s Metro newspaper that The U has been several years in the making.

“It has a unique patent-pending design that’s shaped to cradle rather than penetrate, and unique technology to layer pleasure and build an intense orgasm experience,” the rep said, adding that some customers “prefer non-penetrative toys, and the innovation of The U will really change the offering for them.”

The U, Metro reported, “is pressed against the entire vulva area with arms that sit along the inside of it and a ‘clitoral cushion.. The new device offers up a ‘layered orgasm,’ which according to its description in The U ‘explorer manual’ is ‘not rushed’ and can be much more intense and satisfying by letting the sensations slowly build.”

Ann Summers’ designers, the rep added, “take design direction and ideas from all sorts of sources, from inspirational shopping, trend forecasting, previous sales data, and input from our supplier base, especially from the internal/motor aspect.”

Recently, the company has also been consulting with gynecologists to better research products designed for vulva-havers’ anatomies, leading to the introduction of the MyViv line.

Cherie DeVille Featured in Fleshbot Interview

LOS ANGELES — Cherie DeVille is featured in an interview for Fleshbot to discuss her career and working for Brazzers.

“Like a lot of performers, since last year and before the pandemic, a lot of us were forced to re-evaluate how much time we’re spending working for companies and how much time we’re spending working for ourselves,” DeVille said reflecting on recent years.

“And like a lot of performers, even though I am still contracted and happily working for Brazzers, I have been putting more energy into my products. I’ve also been putting more energy into some advocacy and journalism work, doing interviews about sex work, but outside of the sex work sphere, I feel like I’ve branched outside, a little bit, outside of the porno world, and it’s been good,” DeVille continued.

Fleshbot’s Ariana Lexi also took a moment to praise being able to interview DeVille.

“Talking to Cherie DeVille was an absolute pleasure. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to chat with someone I admire. I’m even more thankful for her generosity in sharing information and advice. Knowledge is power,” DeVille said. “This Total Package is all about empowering sex workers. She is also admired by many sex workers, including me, so it was a privilege to interview her.”

X-Play Lauds September Reign’s Performance in ‘Love, Sex & Music’

X-Play Lauds September Reign's Performance in 'Love, Sex & Music'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Will Ryder and Scott David of X-Play are lauding September Reign’s performance in their feature, “Love, Sex & Music,” for Adam & Eve.

Naming Reign their “Actress of the Year,” the director/producer team enthused about Reign.

“Show me a better performance this year,” Ryder said.

“To be honest, I wasn’t sure what I was going to get with September,” he continued. “She had a long resume’ of work, but placing an entire feature movie in her hands took a leap of faith on our part and also from Adam & Eve. You have to understand, that if September is not believable in the role of Dixie, the movie dies instantly. It’s that simple.”

Reign praised the role.

“I’ve had some nice roles in the past but ‘Dixie’, the character I play, had some real depth to her, she was a real person with an impossible battle on her hands,” she said.

“Love, Sex & Music” is streaming on Adam & Eve Plus.

OnlyFans CEO Claims Ignorance of How Much Company Makes From Adult Creators

OnlyFans CEO Claims Ignorance of How Much Company Makes From Adult Creators

SAN FRANCISCO — OnlyFans CEO Amrapali “Ami” Gan told a tech industry conference audience in San Francisco this week that she does not know how much the company is making from adult content creators.

Gan and OnlyFans Chief Strategy and Operations Officer Keily Blair appeared at the high-profile Disrupt conference organized by influential tech news site TechCrunch, which reported the statements.

For the past few months, Gan and Blair have made a 180-degree turn in visibility, becoming more accessible to mainstream media and making appearances at events such as Disrupt.

According to TechCrunch, OnlyFans is “putting a lot of effort into upcycling its image from an adult content subscription platform to a Patreon-like home for all kinds of creators.”

According to the site, Gan also “confirmed that adult content will still have a home on the site in five years, and those creators can continue to make a living on it,” although she did not elaborate on that prediction.

TechCrunch noted that the platform has been busy with efforts “to position itself as more than just a platform for NSFW content and that NSFW is being ring-fenced in a more responsible way. Its top execs like to use the more general euphemism of ‘spicy’ these days to refer to the work you find on there, and they like to talk about emerging categories on the platform like cooking and fitness.”

Gan stressed that under her leadership the company is actively working with politicians worldwide “to ensure that adult content is only being viewed by those who are legally allowed to do so.”

When asked about “just how much the company makes from adult content creators,” however, Gan and Blair claimed ignorance.

“We’d have to look at every single transaction on the platform and assign it,” Gan told the savvy tech audience at Disrupt, “and we’re not collecting [that] data.”

“Why is that important to people?” responded Blair, changing the subject.

According to TechCrunch, the more than 2 million creators on OnlyFans earned $4 billion in 2021, thanks to an audience of some 188 million fans, while OnlyFans’ profit for that year was $433 million. Considering the careful accounting that necessary entails, and the company’s self-reported attentiveness to adult content, the top executive’s straight-faced assertion that OnyFans does not know how much of that revenue comes from so-called “spicy” accounts may strike some as surprising.

Johnny Sins Talks to Daily Star About Life as Indie Creator

Johnny Sins Talks to Daily Star About Life as Indie Creator

LONDON — Johnny Sins spoke to U.K. tabloid the Daily Star about his current career as an in-demand independent creator.

The 43-year-old male talent — and inspiration for many meme-makers — told the Daily Star that he “was shy and had a hard time talking to and approaching girls, but that all changed once he entered the adult entertainment industry.”

Sins, currently promoting an appearance at Sexpo Australia 2022, told the tabloid that in the beginning, he “was just interested in meeting and fucking girls,” but later realized “how much money you could make and really thought about it as a business.”

After moving to Los Angeles in 2006, Sins’ career took him to global prominence as one of Brazzers’ “go-to” male performers, before he made the switch to indie production in mid-2020 during the pandemic.

The veteran performer with the signature shaved pate told the Daily Star that a career highlight has been “building the Sins brand and SinsLife” with partner Kissa Sins.

Performers with his established fanbase, he noted, can now start  their own production companies and sell their own content.

“I started my own production company so I would have the ability to shoot exactly what I want and who I want to shoot with,” Sins said. “So instead of making a paycheck for one scene with a production company, you can sell the scene over and over for as long as possible, which makes it much more profitable.”

Because he now has these options, the social-media-friendly performer notes, he “won’t be shooting full-time again for companies.”

Sins did, however, leave the door open to making appearances in scenes “for a few companies moving forward.” He also expressed a desire to shoot in Europe, saying, “Barcelona, Prague and Budapest are a few places I’d like to go.”
