Marica Hase Profiled by Daily Beast About Asians in Adult

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Marica Hase is one of three female Asian adult performers profiled by the Daily Beast in a recent piece examining racism and stereotyping in the industry.

Written by Aurora Snow, herself a former adult performer, the piece  stems from the massage parlor shootings in Atlanta in which Asian women were killed.

“Marica’s views of being Asian and working in adult run counter to what some people [might] assume. She feels that being Asian has helped get her work and other opportunities,” a rep said. “She hasn’t experienced stigmatization in the industry and tells a story about shooting a box cover with other models and being chosen for center stage.”

Snow also interviewed Ember Snow and Kimberly Chi for the piece, who share how they have often been cast as masseuses and foreign exchange students and how they’ve reframed these roles to be more positive.

“The Daily Beast covered an interesting topic, and I was glad to be part of this piece. Ember and Kimberly also had some interesting insights. Whether you’re in the industry or not, you will definitely learn something by reading it,” Hase said.

Dakota Johnson Calls for Rethinking the Term ‘Sex Toy’

Dakota Johnson Calls for Rethinking the Term 'Sex Toy'

LOS ANGELES — In a recent InStyle article, “Fifty Shades of Grey” actress Dakota Johnson, who also serves as an investor and co-creative director of sexual wellness brand Maude — explained why the term “sex toy” makes it more difficult for people to take their sexual health seriously.

“For too long sexual health has been poorly marketed, hyper-aggressive and highly gendered,” Johnson told InStyle. “Maude is a company based on universal design making modern, body-safe, high-quality essentials for before, during, and after sex, with yourself or with another lovely human. The caliber and aesthetic of these products is excellent and elevated.”

To promote the brand’s message, Maude has launched the “This Is Not a Toy” campaign. According to Johnson, the campaign’s aim is to “activate hearts and minds in an effort to destigmatize sexual and intimate tools.”

“Often the use of language surrounding sexual products is antiquated, gender-specific and belittling,” Johnson said.

Maude founder and CEO Éva Goicochea said that calling pleasure products “toys” trivializes their benefits.

“By reducing them to juvenile novelties, people’s needs and satisfaction are often being unmet and overlooked,” Goicochea noted. “Moreover, stigmas are being perpetuated. A vibe is not a toy — it is an essential.”

Maude is also creating its own selection of pleasure “essentials,” including a new gender-neutral egg-shaped vibe.

“I just have to say i’m beyond grateful for my good friend and long-time crush [Corvus] for doing this scene with me,” she said. “He truly is the reason why this was able to happen. And i can’t forget my love for [Rivera] and his crew for making such a wonderful environment.”

Corvus echoed her praise.

“I’m sorry and ashamed it’s taken this long to have this happening in the mainstream,” he continued. “I’m proud to have seen this becoming the norm with other performers on other sites too. I’ll never truly know the struggle of my trans brothers, sisters and NBs but I’ll always be your ally.”

Chris Crocker Mints Viral ‘Leave Britney Alone’ Clip as NFT

Chris Crocker Mints Viral 'Leave Britney Alone' Clip as NFT

LOS ANGELES — Chris Crocker has minted his viral “Leave Britney Alone” clip as an NFT and listed the artwork with the Foundation app, where the auction launched with an anonymous 10 $ETH (approximately $21,300 USD) bid.

“Is the world ready?” he tweeted.

Crocker is the 2019 XBIZ Cam Awards winner for “Social Media Influencer” and a 2021 XBIZ Awards nominee for “Premium Social Media Star of the Year.”

“‘Leave Britney Alone’ was uploaded to YouTube on September 10, 2007,” noted Crocker in the auction description. “Within 24 hours it had garnered over 2 million views [and] by 2009 it was the second-most-discussed video on the platform. It was the first viral video to get mass mainstream coverage.”

“I made this video as a gender-bending teenage high school dropout in my grandparents’ bedroom. I had no idea the impact its message would have; years later, maybe society is finally starting to get it,” he continued. “Own a part of internet and pop culture history!”

The move has prompted tech and media reporters to wonder if other viral memes will be minted in a similar manner.

“Of course, the ones who were silent when I was mocked, threatened, assaulted and ridiculed for years will have a an issue with me selling ‘LBA’ as an NFT and quite frankly they can kiss the entirety of my ass,” Crocker wrote.

Fun Factory Debuts Vibrating Couples’ Toy ‘NOS’

Fun Factory Debuts Vibrating Couples' Toy 'NOS'

LOS ANGELES — Fun Factory has announced the release of NOS, a new vibrating couples’ toy designed to stimulate both the penis and the clit during penetration for bigger, simultaneous orgasms.

NOS, a rep explained, “improves on existing C-rings with two curved extensions designed to hug the clit, powered by two German-engineered motors. They make every thrust more thrilling for everyone.”

The design also includes two raised pressure points on the ring, which squeeze the shaft of the penis “in the right spots for a harder erection and hotter sensations,” the rep added. “Typical C-rings offer the same erection-boosting benefits from behind the balls, meaning the wearer has to put on the toy before play begins.”

Wearable on the shaft, NOS can be put on or removed at any point during the action, the rep said, “for more spontaneous fun. NOS also offers unrivaled comfort for the wearer, with its unique shape and its soft, body-safe silicone.”

Fun Factory’s Head of Global Marketing Kristen Tribby revealed that “penis toys are ultra-popular right now, but a lot of manufacturers assume that penises are easy to stimulate, and don’t put the same quality into the toys. Fun Factory is filling a gap in the market with NOS, which has the same precise German engineering, rumbly bass-tone motors and body-safe materials as our toys for vulvas.”

NOS can be found at FunFactory.com and will be available at participating retailers starting in May.
