Wicked Pictures Celebrates Multiple NightMoves Noms

LOS ANGELES — Wicked Pictures is celebrating multiple nominations from the 2022 NightMoves Awards.

“Wicked is pleased to announce it has emerged as the year’s most celebrated studio with 14 major nominations,” a rep enthused.

The studio’s recognition includes a trio of mentions in its top production category, Best Feature Film, for “Black Widow XXX: An Axel Braun Parody,” Seth Gamble’s “Deranged” and James Avalon’s “Duplicity.”

“It’s always a tremendous honor to be nominated,” said Braun, who has been producing every Wicked movie since the company was acquired by Gamma in 2020. “This year is very special for me, as head of production my goal was to raise the quality level of our output with great directors and more high-profile projects, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.”

Braun’s “Black Widow XXX” emerged as Wicked’s most celebrated feature, receiving a quintet of nominations for Best Feature Film, Best Feature Director, Best Actor (Seth Gamble) and two for Best Actress (Lacy Lennon, Elena Koshka).

“Having ‘Black Widow XXX’ get more accolades. with Lacy and Elena both nommed for Best Actress, along with Kenzie Taylor for her outstanding lead role in ‘Deranged,’ and James Avalon proving once again what a phenomenal director he is with his first Wicked Noir feature ‘Duplicity’ was fantastic, but seeing Seth up for Best Director was definitely the most exciting moment for me,” Braun added.

“Deranged was Seth’s feature directing debut, and right off the bat he showed everybody how incredibly talented he is,” he said. “I’d be the first to congratulate him if he won, even if he’d be beating me.”

Gamble declared himself “beyond honored and humbled” to nab the nom.

“Everybody in my cast and crew gave 110% on this project,” he noted. “Kenzie delivered a mind-blowing performance and she really brought this movie to life, as did the rest of my amazing cast.”

Avalon’s “Duplicity” received a quartet of top nominations for Best Feature Production, Best Feature Director and two Best Actor nods (Charles Dera, Steve Holmes).

“I’m very grateful to NightMoves for these nominations, as ‘Duplicity’ is a movie I have wanted to make for over a decade,” he said. “I’ve been writing film noir outlines since 2008, but the feature studios I submitted them to, without exception, all passed. At one point, I decided to run them by Axel, as I’m a great admirer of his film ‘The Possession of Mrs. Hyde.’ He resonated with the material immediately and helped me put together a great-looking film with the perfect cast.”

Online voting to determine the winners in 20 national and 18 local categories is underway and will continue through Sept. 15. For additional details about nominees and to cast a ballot, click here and follow the NightMoves Awards online and on Twitter.

Apple to Expand Automated Surveillance of iPhone Message Images

CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple’s iOS 16 update for iPhones, expected this fall, will expand a controversial “communications security” tool worldwide, which will use proprietary AI to “detect nudity” in text messages.

The worldwide expansion of this “message analysis” feature, currently available only in the U.S. and New Zealand, will begin in September, when iOS 16 is rolled out to the general public.

Models prior to the iPhone 8 will not be affected; for desktop models, the Ventura update will offer this option.

The “nudity detection” feature has been touted by Apple as part of their “Expanded Protections for Children” initiative, although privacy advocates have raised questions about the company’s overall approach to private content surveillance.

According to Apple, the feature is described as a Messages app tool to “warn children when receiving or sending photos that contain nudity.”

These features, Apple notes, are not enabled by default: “If parents opt in, these warnings will be turned on for the child accounts in their Family Sharing plan.”

When receiving “this type of content [nudity], the photo will be blurred and the child will be warned, presented with helpful resources, and reassured it is okay if they do not want to view this photo. Similar protections are available if a child attempts to send photos that contain nudity. In both cases, children are given the option to message someone they trust for help if they choose.”

The AI tool bundled with the default Messages apps, the company explained “analyzes image attachments and determines if a photo contains nudity, while maintaining the end-to-end encryption of the messages. The feature is designed so that no indication of the detection of nudity ever leaves the device.”

Apple alleges the company “does not get access to the messages, and no notifications are sent to the parent or anyone else.”

In the U.S. and New Zealand, this feature is included starting in iOS 15.2, iPadOS 15.2 and macOS 12.1 and it requires accounts set up as families in iCloud.

As French news outlet RTL noted today, when reporting the upcoming expansion of the feature, “a similar initiative, consisting of analyzing the images hosted on the photo libraries of users’ iCloud accounts in search of possible child pornography images, had been strongly criticized before being dismissed last year.”

As XBIZ reported, in September 2021 Apple announced that it would “pause” testing that new tool. The announced feature would have scanned images on users’ devices in search of supposed CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material) and sent reports directly to law enforcement.

Eden Ivy to Be Featured in New Episode of Rocco Siffredi’s ‘Hard Academy’

Eden Ivy to Be Featured in New Episode of Rocco Siffredi's 'Hard Academy'

ROME — Eden Ivy will take on the role of an instructor during the second edition of Rocco Siffredi’s “Siffredi Hard Academy” reality show being shot in Rome in September.

The Canadian performer, who recently appeared in Siffredi’s “Introspection” feature, revealed her role in an article for Italian lifestyle magazine MOW.

Siffredi invited MOW’s journalist Niccolò Fantini and photographer Francesca Ricciardi to the first “Siffredi Hard Academy” organized in Italy. Episodes were filmed in several cities, including a Bologna installment featuring Italian adult star Malena.

Tattooed French-Canadian beauty Ivy has been championed by Siffredi since their first encounter.

“I met Eden in November during the latest season of the ‘Academy,’” Siffredi revealed in the July XBIZ World feature on “Introspection.”

“I noticed her first because of her astonishing beauty and said to myself, ‘Oh my God — she’s so beautiful,” he said. “I watched her having sex, and the natural way she was doing it — without pretending, without overacting, without pushing herself — was incredible. And she is a real-life, huge anal fetishist. Eden was always touching her ass, always stuffing her ass with things. I said, ‘This is the girl.’”

Kheper Expands Adult Party Game Line

Kheper Expands Adult Party Game Line

SEATTLE — Kheper Games has expanded its range of adult party games with the “Drunk Asshole Says…” card game.

The card game for three to 10 players centers on the designated “Drunk Asshole,” who stirs the pot by telling players what to do and when to drink. Cards are turned over one at a time, and each reveals either instruction for who drinks or a contest.

Contests include challenges like “I Never…” where you drink if you have never done something the player taking the turn has done, “Drink If” where you drink if you have done the action announced and “Extreme Personal Questions” where you truthfully answer a personal question. Some wins yield drink assignments; others result in a new Drunk Asshole being assigned.

“We based this game off of our most popular holiday game, ‘Drunk Santa Says,'” Kheper Games CEO Brian Pellham said. “We are thrilled to be back visiting customers and having trade show booths again. As our product designer, these in-person meetings really help me design stronger products because of the feedback we receive at them. And it can be as simple as someone asking us why we don’t have a year-round version of our most popular holiday game.”

Kheper’s extensive range of party games includes “The World’s Most Ridiculous Drinking Games,” “Mansplain It,” “Potheads Against Sanity,” “Who’s The Biggest Freak?” and the full line of “What the F*ck?” games.

Earlier this month, Kheper launched 14 new items at the ANME Founders show.

Jewelz Blu Guests on ‘PlugTalk’ Podcast With Lena the Plug, Adam22

LOS ANGELES — Jewelz Blu is the featured guest on a new episode of the “PlugTalk” podcast hosted by Lena the Plug and Adam22.

“PlugTalk” is described as “the perfect collision between porn and podcasting,” noted a rep. Each week, the hosts interview a performer and then shoot a clip with the guest for their respective fan sites.

The interview segment begins with Blu talking about her first performance with two men; she was able to pick the two male costars and shared how much she enjoyed the experience. While that shoot was for an established company, Blu also talked about her creator-owned content. In addition to cosplay, she often invests in building sets to create unique clips.

She also shared that her now-famous blue hair came before she created her stage name. As a result of her hair color and cosplay work, she knows her fanbase is “largely nerdy.” On this note, one of her future plans is to expand into Twitch.
